「人性就是這麼禁不起考驗嗎？」資深媒體人狄志為日前分享一個案例，一名單親媽媽的丈夫，2～3年前被診斷出胰臟癌，她邊工作、邊照顧小孩，還要照顧生病的老公，為幫老公治病借遍了娘家和朋友，醫藥費一筆筆噴出去，但老公還是在幾個月前癌逝。
未料，丈夫生前一張防癌壽險保單，受益人卻是哥哥，丈夫「少做1事」讓她和孩子一毛都領不到！ 狄志為27日在粉專分享該名單親媽媽的案例，他表示保單是30多年前，她的公婆替丈夫投保的防癌壽險保單。
他寫道：「她老公出社會時，20多歲有附加補到滿（癌險加壽險），但這保險在父母過世後、老公附加時受益人改成哥哥，不到40歲連附加的都繳清。」
該名單親媽媽當下覺得這真是老天送來的一線希望，畢竟2年來欠了一些債，老公也走了，至少這筆理賠金能讓她和孩子有個喘息的機會。
「但沒想到，那份保險的受益人，居然不是她，也不是小孩，而是老公的哥哥。」 她問老公哥哥才知道，原來老公在國中時父母就因車禍去世，兄弟倆相依為命。
哥哥大他3歲，當年在他最孤單的時候多少有照顧他一點。但大多時候他都是靠自己半工半讀，完成學業的，但畢竟哥哥是他唯一的家人，所以那時投保的時候，還沒結婚、沒家庭，自然也就把哥哥填上去。
只是十幾年過去了，他早就忘記這份保單的存在、更別提受益人未更正，連哥哥也是被他告知才想起來有這件事。
最後保險理賠金近600萬元，全數進哥哥的帳戶，「這筆錢不會列入遺產，不用課稅，所以不會有所謂的特留份。」狄志為表示，單親媽媽鼓起勇氣去找哥哥，希望他能分一點出來，至少幫她還點債，讓孩子有個安穩的生活。
沒想到那位哥哥冷冷地說：「我有我自己的需求，我也不寬裕，這筆錢我不能給妳。」
狄志為感慨「一句話，斬斷了所有情份。
更誇張的是，連弟弟的喪葬費哥哥也沒協助。
我朋友她無法相信，一個曾經喊著『我們是一家人』的人，在金錢面前會變成這樣。
法律上受益人寫誰，就是誰；再不合理、再不人情，規定也不會變。那筆近600萬元，她一分都拿不回來。」 他痛批法律給了哥哥權利，但人性卻在這裡顯得那麼醜陋。
「有時候我們以為『親情』是最牢靠的東西，但等利益出現的時候，你才會知道那根線有多脆。
人心有時不是壞，而是冷；不是不懂得愛，而是選擇了自私。
這世界上最難預測的，不是天氣，而是人性。很多人都說『錢看人性』，我現在完全懂了。
平常說得再多『一家人』，到最後碰到錢，才看得出誰是真心、誰是假意。法律可以保護權益，但保不了良心。」
狄志為呼籲如果有買保險，記得「做1事」，才不會留下遺憾，「看一下你的受益人是不是要留給你心愛的人，時不時拿出來看一下，如果你沒有買保險，要知道保險用的到的時候，你真的會很感謝自己。」
