原來不是虎斑貓!雲林濁水溪出海口首度發現石虎蹤跡 TVBS 雲林縣麥寮鄉「濁水溪出海口生態園區」多年前生態保育有成，現又傳出好消息。參與生態圈營造的麥仔簝文化協會負責人吳明宜指出，今年初在越堤道路捕捉到石虎身影，這是雲林沿海首次清晰記錄到石虎。林業署南投分署表示，已針對石虎現蹤地附近架設3台監測器，以利後續掌握石虎蹤影。
吳明宜表示，水利署第4河川分署在濁水溪口營造生態基地，近年在生態園區內架設12支生態監測調查計畫攝影器，記錄當地生態，今年3月時攝影機拍到疑似石虎身影，經過生物多樣性研究所確認後，認定是石虎沒錯。
吳明宜表示，依生多所判斷這隻為公石虎成體，「這是雲林沿海首筆清晰紀錄」。當地長者曾說過，早年常在出海口看到「山貓」，應是指稱石虎，近幾年又傳出有人在出海口看到石虎，此次攝影機總算拍攝到清晰的石虎影像。
接下來會持續和林保署南投分署、第四河川分署、生多所密切關注，確認是否有石虎族群在這裡出現。 林保署南投分署森林保育科長楊曼蕾表示，接獲麥仔簝文化協會通報石虎在麥寮出現後，協會盼可針對石虎出沒情況再多增設監測相機，因此昨（3）日前往現地會勘，與協會、生多所等人討論裝設位置，經生多所研究員建議後，在許厝寮保安林、10及12號越堤道路共裝設3支監測器，持續追蹤是否還有更多石虎活動蹤跡。
第四河川分署副署長張朝恭表示，因爲近年濁水溪揚塵防制，濁水溪河口綠覆增加，營造河口濕地環境，已成為許多野鳥生態的棲息環境，近期監測攝影機意外拍到石虎出現的影像，未來將持續透過專人巡護、持續架設監測設備，並嚴格取締違法墾殖，來守護這處意外形成的生態廊道。
