臺語稱之為「蟧蜈」（白話字：lâ-giâ^[8]）。台灣人也常常用華語音近漢字寫做「喇牙、旯犽」。而廣東人則稱之為蠄蟧，此字可能源自侗台語系。

白額高腳蛛形狀較扁，這使得它能夠鑽入小的縫隙里，喜歡陰暗處^[9]。白額高腳蛛體長約20mm～30mm，全長（包括腳）約100mm～130mm，張開腳時約有CD的大小，在台灣是最大型的室內棲息蜘蛛^[10]；頭胸部前後緣各有一條黃白色橫帶；為夜行性動物，捕捉蟑螂或飛行的昆蟲。

白額高腳蛛會吐絲但不會結網，沒有定點居住的習性，所以當蟑螂等家庭害蟲都被吃光時，失去食物來源的白額高腳蛛便會離去^[11]。但一般而言，家裡的蟑螂根本吃不完，故白額高腳蛛很少會離去，甚至還會在家裡繁殖。

“Are You Lonesome Tonight？” 的成功使這首歌成為 Presley 的現場主打歌曲之一。1961 年 3 月 25 日，他在檀香山的布洛赫競技場為亞利桑那號戰列艦紀念館舉行的慈善活動中首次現場表演了這首歌，這是普雷斯利從軍隊返回和將職業重心轉向表演之間的四次現場表演之一。

1968 年重返音樂界，普雷斯利將這首歌收錄在 NBC 特別節目《貓王》的播放清單中，並於次年在他第一次在拉斯維加斯演出時現場表演。^[39]這首歌的一個版本錄製於 1969 年 8 月 26 日，記錄了普雷斯利在看到觀眾中的一個男人滑倒並失去了他的假髮後改變了旁白的歌詞“（”你凝視著你的光頭，希望你有頭髮嗎“）並在橋的其餘部分大笑，於 1980 年作為貓王阿隆·普雷斯利 （Elvis Aron Presley） 盒裝的一部分發行。
