Yahoo奇摩股市 美國矽谷銀行（SVB）日前因儲戶大量擠兌而宣告倒閉，這也導致許多投資人、企業恐慌不斷蔓延，甚至掀起美國銀行 10 年來最大擠兌潮。到底擠兌是什麼？為什麼會引發銀行倒閉？

美國爆10年最大擠兌潮！擠兌是什麼？發生原因？銀行擠兌會造成什麼後果及影響？ 擠兌是什麼？ 擠兌（Bank Run）是指大量存款客戶在短時間內同時到銀行提取現金的現象。從中文和英文字面上就很有畫面感，形容人們爭先恐後跑去銀行，人擠人要提取現金的狀態。

通常發生在金融機構在營運上傳出重大負面消息時，導致客戶陷入恐慌，擔心他們在銀行的存款會受到侵害，因此紛紛跑去銀行把錢提領出來，讓銀行頓時陷入困境，是一種突發性、集中性、災難性的危機。

如同日前的矽谷銀行，在揭露鉅額虧損且增資失敗後，不到 48 小時就被儲戶提走 420 億美元而宣告倒閉，由此可知，擠兌對金融機構的衝擊有多麼大。

發生擠兌為何會讓銀行陷入危機？ 那為什麼發生擠兌，銀行會還不出錢呢？甚至還因此而破產？

首先，我們要先瞭解銀行的運作模式。 一般商業銀行的主要業務是存款、貸款，當銀行接受客戶存款後，並非把錢放在銀行靜止不動，而是會把錢拿去放貸給一般人跟企業，或作為投資用途，以此賺取利差和投資收益。

所以當爆發銀行擠兌，大量存款客戶在短時間同時要求提款，銀行手裡根本沒有這麼多現金足夠支付，恐怕就得將長期貸款先行結清，甚至是拋售還在虧損狀態的投資商品，在銀行陷入流動性嚴重不足的情況下，恐會面臨破產的危機。

台灣的銀行會發生擠兌危機嗎？ 隨著矽谷銀行（SVB）倒閉，引發一連串美國中小型銀行擠兌倒閉潮，民眾開始擔心這樣的情況是否會在台灣發生？ 截至元月底為止，國人有 52.6 兆資金擺在銀行，絕大多數是存款，其中只有三分之一拿去作資產配置，且其中五成都是投資國庫券、央行轉單與公債，金管會對此表示「民眾可以安心」，目前國銀流動性指標均高於法定標準，就算出現大量擠兌，流動性仍無虞。

國泰金總經理李長庚則表示，矽谷銀行 48 小時內被提領 1.28 兆元，發生在台灣任一家銀行「都會掛點」，因為以前是排隊擠兌，現在是「手指擠兌」，手機滑一滑就提走，他呼籲主管機關要設置管理機制，當銀行發生流動性危機時，才不會衍伸更大金融風暴。
