許多人上完廁所後，第一時間都會轉頭觀察自己的糞便情況，要是出現大號沖不下去的情況，很有可能就是身體給出的警訊。
對此，醫師則透露，先前曾有病患大號沖不下去，經檢查後發現是慢性胰臟發炎，示警若置之不理，會增加之後發生胰臟癌的機率。
根據《ETtoday新聞雲》報導，敏盛綜合醫院微創手術中心執行長陳榮堅表示，先前曾有一名40多歲的患者和朋友聚餐時，上完廁所沖了很多次大號都下不去，因察覺有異便前往醫院檢查， 醫師發現患者因平時攝取較多酒精，身體開始出現「慢性胰臟發炎」的狀況，在家中上廁所甚至要沖4、5次才下得去。
為此，醫師指出「慢性胰臟發炎的狀況如果置之不理，會增加之後發生胰臟癌的機率。」而患者得知嚴重性後也決定戒酒。
直到4、5年後患者因再度出現脂肪便，擔心是罹患胰臟癌就醫，經檢查後發現數據正常，進一步詢問生活習慣後得知，患者換工作後三餐常常放到隔餐吃，因此經常發生腸胃炎。
對此，陳榮堅解釋，當腸子反覆發炎，腸黏膜無法很好地吸收脂肪時，也會發生糞便浮在水上的情況，所幸改掉該習慣後，狀況也有所改善。
