This is a super song composed by Debbie Gibson when she was a teenager.

Deborah Gibson (still thought of to many as "Debbie") exploded onto the pop music scene at the age of 16 with hits such as "Out of the Blue", "Only In My Dreams", and "Lost in Your Eyes". Gibson went on to become a Broadway star in the musicals "Les Miserables", "Grease", and "Beauty and the Beast".

At age 17, Gibson became the youngest person to write, produce, and perform a number one hit with "Foolish Beat". (This could be a US statistic)

Born in 1970, Debbie's career began in 1984 and took off in 1986. The song 'We could be together' is from the album 'Electric Youth'. This was Debbie's second album and the most successful of her career. It was recorded in 1988 and released in 1989 and went 2x platinum. It spent 5 weeks at the #1 position on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and #8 on the UK Album chart. The single 'Lost in your eyes' peaked at #1, and 'We could be together' peaked at #71 in the US, #22 in the UK, and #59 in Australia of that year. (its interesting how the song was more popular in the UK than the US -her home). Its one of my faves of Debbie's and her music seemed known in Canada.. she was big with the young crowd in the 80's!!

This is the sweet voice of Debbie Gibson from my younger days -- I listened to her/this album a lot!! Hope you enjoy :)

The pics are of horses (and a couple mules).. seemed to go with the song, especially when she says "if you say jump" *smile* I like that.. (but really she was talking about people friendships through teenage eyes). The last minute of the video is of a moving palamino horse, very cool!!
