DPP is staging a Taiwanese version of Cultural Revolution for next year’s election victory

In a functioning democratic country, the opposition parties should provide better policies to seek people's support. However, this is not the case with Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). DPP has been cheating the people of Taiwan to create an illusion of public dissatisfaction with the government in its campaign for next year’s national general election. Unfortunately, DPP is succeeding at its work. What many Taiwanese call “Taiwanese Cultural Revolution” is happening.
在一個正常運作的民主國家，反對黨應提供更好的政策，尋求民眾的支持。 然而，這卻不是台灣民進黨（DPP）的作風。 民進黨一直在欺騙台灣人民，在其為明年全國大選的競選道路上，創造大眾不滿政府的錯覺。不幸的是，民進黨在成功的操作中。 很多台灣人認為：所謂的“台灣文化大革命”正在進行中。

In the past few months, many high school students have been staging protests against the recent national high school curriculum guideline revisions. However, a film released by a civilian journalist shows that the students either know little about what they're protesting against or have received wrong information about the revisions.
在過去的幾個月裡，許多高中生參與針對近期國家高中課綱的修訂抗議。然而，一個平民記者發布了他對某學生的訪問錄影，發現這位學生對他們在抗議什麼知之甚少，或是所收到的有關課綱微調訊息是錯誤的。

Suspicions about DPP being the instigator of these series of unfounded protests were proven true when evidences of DPP’s payment to protesting students surfaced. Photos of two receipts, each showing 1,495 NTD paid by the DPP to student protestors, were published anonymously online.
有關民進黨是這些毫無根據的一系列抗議活動的始作俑者之懷疑被證明真實的，當民進黨支付抗議學生的證據浮出水面。兩張收據的照片，是民進黨支付給學生示威者1495新台幣，被匿名在網上公佈。

Facing the controversy, DPP chairwoman, Tsai Ing-Wen, denied this accusation by stating that the party simply supplied students with “material goods” rather than direct payments, and that this is not sponsoring but merely assisting a social movement sharing the same goal with her party.
面對爭議，民進黨主席蔡英文否認這一指責時指出，民進黨只是提供學生“實質物品”，而不是直接支付金錢，並聲明這不是贊助，而只是協助與她的政黨有共同目標的社會運動。

However, her response created more questions than it answered: first, how is providing “material goods” inherently different from providing the students with money, both of which involve transfer of assets in return for service? Second, if DPP’s actions are legitimate, why did it wait until the photos were published online to clarify the party’s involvement with the protest? Third, DPP insists that it never participated in the protests, but how is providing assets not considered “participating”?

Furthermore, the online film clearly indicates the misinformed students used false information consistent with those stated by DPP lawmakers. This strengthens the suspicion that these students received instructions from DPP to conduct the protest. However, DPP made no clear explanations and continued to indirectly instigate students to act irrationally by tacitly approving the protests’ escalation. This has led to students intruding the office of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and attacking officials in the offices on the night of July 24th.

In response, the Ministry decided to prosecute the students arrested during the break-in. However, DPP distracted the public from the break-in by taking advantage of the suicide of a student protestor Lin Kuan-Hua, who was one of the arrested. The party accused the ruling KMT and MoE of being responsible for Lin's death by prosecuting him. The subsequent outrage successfully diverted public attention away from the question of DPP’s role in the campaign.
對此，教育部決定起訴侵入行動中被捕的學生。然而，民進黨利用被捕學生抗議者之一的林冠華自殺事件，混擾大眾的注意力。 民進黨指控執政國民黨和教育部要為林冠華自殺負責。隨後民眾的注意力成功轉移了民進黨在這次抗議活動中的參與問題。

The suicide is revealed to be part of DPP’s plan to make the curriculum revision issue “explosive” when DPP lawmaker Chen Chi-Mai published Lin Kuan-Hua’s conversation log on instant message software Line several days before his death. The log showed that Lin Kuan-Hua intended to use the suicide to magnify the controversy. In addition, DPP was supposed to model Lin as a martyr to the protest in order to draw public support. These series of political maneuver by DPP caused student protestors to attempt to break in to the national legislative building again following 2014’s Sunflower Movement. One such student protestor physically attacked his parents when they arrived at legislative building to take him home. The student believed his parents are enemies of Taiwanese people, much in the same fashion as how Mao’s Red Guards saw their parents.
林冠華自殺事件顯露出是民進黨的計劃之一，要使反課綱微調問題“爆炸”。因為民進黨立委陳其邁在他去世前幾天就在Line上公佈了林冠華發表的談話記錄。該談話記錄表明，林冠華打算用自殺來擴大爭議。並且，民進黨計劃是要把林冠華推崇為抗議活動的烈士，以爭取民眾的支持。 民進黨這一系列的政治動機造成學生示威者模仿2014太陽花活動非法入侵政府部門。 其中一個學生示威者當父母來尋找他時，毆打他的父母。 這位學生認為，他的父母都是台灣人民的敵人，正如同當年毛澤東的紅衛兵以同樣方式對付自己的父母。


This immediately sparked the following criticisms: First, some protestors already knew Lin was trying to commit suicide, but nobody tried to stop him. They simply watched Lin died. Second, attacking ones’ parents seriously violates traditional Chinese filial values, which the Taiwanese prizes. However, to DPP and the protestors, a person’s life and filial piety are no more important than taking down KMT government, shedding light on DPP’s true morality.
這事件立即引發了以下的批評：首先，一些示威者已經知道林計劃自殺，但沒有人試圖阻止他。他們只是旁觀著林的死亡。其次，攻擊家長嚴重違反台灣人引以為傲的中國傳統孝道價值觀。然而，民進黨和抗議者認為個人的生命和孝道比不上打垮國民黨政府重要，這展示了民進黨真實的道德觀。

As the protest continues, the students also continue to act on false information. The ongoing chaos shows no sign of easing with many pan-green political figures continuing to make speeches supporting the protests. Sixty years ago, Mao Zedong, the leader of Chinese Communist Party, mobilized students many times for political power struggles in mainland China, eventually leading to the infamous Cultural Revolution that cost hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. Now chairwoman Tsai Ing-Wen, leading the DPP, is using the exact same tactic in her quest for political dominance. This is the most vile and despicable way to run political campaigns, but DPP do not care because political power is the first and foremost priority to the party.
接下來不斷的抗議中，學生們也繼續被虛假信息操作。持續的混亂中出現了許多泛綠政治人物發表演說，支持抗議， 沒有緩解的跡象。六十年前，毛澤東，中國共產黨的領導者，在中國大陸的政治權力鬥爭中多次的鼓動了學生，最終導致了臭名昭著的文化大革命，犧牲了成千上萬的無辜生命。現在蔡英文主席，領導民進黨，在她追求的政治主導地位中，使用的是完全相同的戰術。這是最卑鄙，下流的方式來運行的政治競選方式，但民進黨不在乎，因為對他們來說，政權是首要的任務。
