這是一首動聽的愛爾蘭民謠，為湯姆斯．摩爾（Thomas Moore）於1808-1834年間所作詞曲，

原歌名若直譯，為「相信我，假如令人憐愛的青春歲月依然絢麗」，

歌詞內容描述年輕歲月漸漸離去的感傷及對愛人思念知情，英文歌詞如下左，

中文歌詞為海舟先生所譯，並將歌名譯為「依然在我心深處」，是為傑作，中文歌詞如下中; 本人不揣冒昧, 斗膽再將海舟先生譯文"還原"為英文, 如右所示, 敬祈方家指正.

But as truly loves on to the close	只是隱在心深處常駐	rather I would only keep it safe deep down
As the sunflower turns to her God when he sets	有如葵花向日一片癡情付與	Like the blind love that sunflowers give to the Sun
The same look which she turned when he rose	任今朝明朝日晞日暮	Which rises and sets for today and for a million tomorrows to come.
