Someone sent me the subject two movies through LINE the other day, and I spent three hours watching them all this morning. I read the namesake novels written by Lao She many years ago, yet I was deeply moved by the the pathetic story of the adapted movies.

The movies gave me a stronger pathos than the immortal Les Misérables by Vitor Hugo. Thus, I recommend you watch them on YouTube at your leisure. Thanks.
