One night over a week ago, I almost fell when I got up from bed to the toilet. In my knee-jerk reaction, I tried to grasp something to prevent falling. But something hurt my right wrist, and I felt hurt and noticed that it started to bleed.
It was the dead of night, and I could not seek help. So, I just stopped my injured wrist from bleeding with some first aid. The very next morning, I searched online and found a trauma clinic in my neighborhood. I hastened to the clinic, and a doctor gave me a tetanus shot while his assistant cleansed the gash on my wrist and then warped it with gauze and a band. The doctor then prescribed some medicine and told me to see him two days later, and I did.
But until today, I have visited the clinic five times. I just could not stand it anymore, not because it cost me money and time but also because it affected my daily life: I could not take a shower as easily as I used to. So, I told the doctor and his assistant that I would not come any longer. They might be disappointed; anyway, they prescribed a tube of ointment to apply to the wound all by myself, three times a day.
