My son came from other state to see us and to join a friend’s reunion. Yesterday, he used my car, a preowned Volvo wagon with relatively low milage, driving a long way to Sacramento to meet his friends. During the way back in the evening, he encountered flat tires en route.
He called me, and I told him of my AAA membership number and road service number. The rescue came and towed away the car, leaving him alone in nowhere. Fortunately, a patrol car found him and took him to some place where he could order an Uber and got back home.
Besides the flat tires, a wheel is also damaged. So, I must wait several days to get my wagon fixed. You know, because I spent over half of my retired days in Taipei; therefore, I did not pay much attention to my car which had been used not that often as people did. Well, I should have.
PS Wish you all a happy Mid-Autumn Festival (without BBQ).
