英語字母中的母音(2)

    昨日談到a、e、i、o、u母音的判斷，今日來討論其他的

字母，事實上，英文字母中以母音發音的字母還包含了f、h

、l、m、n、r、x等七個，其中h是以母音[e]開頭，r是以母音

[a]開頭，而其他的五個字母均是以母音[ɛ]開頭，所以這些字母

單獨使用或用在縮寫中要視為母音使用，如：

       A.   The word “lawful” begins with an “l” and ends with an “l.”

       B.   Lebron James, an NBA player, is among the list of the Most

            Influential People.

       C.   He plans to work for an NGO after graduating from college.
