先說酒測：

血液中的酒精濃度叫做---blood alcohol concentration. 簡稱 BAC

所以酒測就叫做---BAC testing，or，BAC test 也可以稱

 Blood-Alcohol test.

 而 The legal limit for drunk is BAC level not over 0.08 這是美國五十州的標準。

還有一個詞很值得學: DUI: driving under the influence (of alcohol or drugs)當年 Mel Gibson 的酒駕事件，每篇報導都可以看到這字。

另有ptt網友提到的 sobriety test 也是很讚的詞，除了 BAC test 之外，sobriety test 包括大家熟知的 walk-the-line、one-leg-stand、數數字以及眼球運動等。

再來說治安：

 social security---是美國的社會福利制度，和經濟有關，和治安無關。

    public security---the general security of public places . 意思就是公共安全，最好的例子就是大陸的公安局→ PublicSecurity
