自從 Maritime Engineering 在2007年宣稱 即將推出柴油渦輪的船外機... 

一直到目前 都還僅止於 原型機的測試中

官網 也並沒有更新調教測試的進展...

忍不住 寫封信去問問   沈寂兩天以後 總算有了回覆

Thank you for your interest in Maritime Engineering Group's Vision Turbo Diesel Outboard. The outboards that we will be producing will be in the range of 115hp-230hp and will meet all emission standards. When we get closer to our production date pricing will be available. The weight of our engines will be similar to other 4 stroke outboards and for durability our engine will also have closed cooling.

Due to the economy we are about 6 to 9 months away from our production to start and the first units are all ready spoken for by a few branches of the military so true production units to the public are about 12 months away.

看來 金融危機以及景氣的衰退 都讓該公司的開發腳步被迫延宕, 幸好 未來1年內 還是有量產的可能.

對於 115~230 馬力之間的 柴油渦輪船外機來說  搭配上合適的船身長度 寬度 與重量, 應該相當適合台灣沿海近海大多數的新/舊小船,

有機會 我都想裝兩顆 3.0L (230hp * 2)
