1. Basic definition and function of an integrated stepper motor
The integrated stepper motor achieves a high degree of integration between the motor and the driver by embedding the driver directly into the motor. It can convert electrical pulse signals into corresponding angular displacement or linear displacement. For each input pulse signal, the rotor rotates an angle or moves forward one step. This design not only simplifies the installation process, but also reduces maintenance costs, and is particularly suitable for use in applications with limited space.
2. The main structure of an integrated stepper motor
1. There are multiple magnetic poles on the stator, and each magnetic pole is wound with a coil. These coils are distributed according to a specific number of phases (such as three-phase, four-phase, five-phase, six-phase, etc.). Taking a three-phase stepper motor as an example, there are three pairs of magnetic poles on the stator, and small teeth are evenly distributed on the pole shoes of each magnetic pole. The design of the stator enables it to be energized in sequence after receiving the electrical pulse signal to form a rotating magnetic field.
2. The rotor is usually made of multi-tooth magnetic material, and its number of teeth is aligned with the stator magnetic field. The design of the rotor enables it to step and rotate under the action of the stator magnetic field. For example, the rotor of a three-phase stepper motor is evenly distributed with small teeth, the number of teeth is equal to the number of stator magnetic field poles, and the tooth width and pitch of each tooth are the same.
3. Design advantages of integrated stepper motors
1. Simplified system structure: The integrated stepper motor integrates the driver and the motor body, reducing external equipment and wiring, reducing the complexity and failure rate of the system, and improving the reliability of the system and the convenience of installation and maintenance.
2. Improve control accuracy: Adopting closed-loop control technology, the position and speed information of the motor is fed back in real time to achieve precise control of the motor, improve the stability and accuracy of the system, effectively suppress the step-out phenomenon of the stepper motor, and improve the positioning accuracy and repeat positioning accuracy.
3. Enhance anti-interference ability: By optimizing the electromagnetic compatibility design and adopting advanced signal processing technology, the system's anti-interference ability to electromagnetic interference and environmental noise is enhanced, ensuring the stable operation of the motor in various complex environments.
4. Reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs: The design of the motor and driver is optimized, the power conversion efficiency is improved, and the energy consumption is reduced. At the same time, intelligent operation reduces maintenance costs and improves the overall economic benefits of the equipment.
5. Adapt to a variety of application scenarios: The integrated stepper motor supports a variety of control protocols and interface standards, which can achieve seamless connection with the host computer or PLC and other equipment, and facilitate users to conduct remote monitoring and debugging. It is suitable for robotics, automated production lines, medical devices and other fields.
4. Maintenance methods of integrated stepper motors
1. Keep clean: Regularly remove dust from the surface of the stepper motor to ensure the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the motor. Turn off the power of the equipment during cleaning, and use organic solvents that will not cause corrosion for cleaning.
2. Check the bearings and oil volume: Regularly check the wear of the bearings and replace the severely worn bearings in time. At the same time, observe the oil volume and oil quality of the bearings to ensure that the oil volume is sufficient and the oil quality is good.
3. Check the components: Regularly check the various components of the stepper motor, such as the stator core, coil, rotor pole coil, etc., to ensure that they are in good condition. If a fault is found, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
4. Prevent pollution: Avoid contact between the stepper motor and corrosive, flammable gas, oil mist, dust and other impurities, and ensure that the motor runs in a clean and well-ventilated environment.
5. Control the power supply voltage and current: Reasonably control the power supply voltage and current to avoid damage to the motor due to overload operation. It is recommended to use an isolation transformer for power supply to protect the motor and personal safety.
6. Deal with abnormal noise: If the stepper motor makes an abnormal noise during operation, it should be stopped and checked immediately to check whether the coupling, pulley, fastening screws, etc. are loose, and whether the slider, slide rail, positioning sensor and line connection are normal. If an abnormality is found, it should be handled in time.
7. Storage and installation environment: The stepper motor should be stored in a clean and well-ventilated environment with an ambient temperature of -40 to 50°C and a relative humidity of no more than 95%. During transportation and installation, it should be handled with care to avoid collision and impact.
