(Article in English cause can’t type Chinese characters on my laptop)

This time I returned to Taiwan to attend two conferences – the official reason I told my boss. Most importantly, I was thinking of gaining some “extra value” during my stay.

And… the following messages were exchanged between me and a respectful plastic surgery doctor.

Me: Dear Doc, can you make my eyelids double?

(Students were not afraid of me. Partly because when I stared at them, they had difficulties to find my eyes.)

(I believe my eyes would look larger if I’ve got double eyelids and I also apply some makeup on my eyelids.)

Doc: Dear Miss, according to my professional opinion, you don’t need a double-eyelid surgery.

Me: Oh, really?

(I was supposing he may suggest some magic eye makeup instead.)

Doc: What you need is – a face lift!

Doc: Specifically, you need a forehead lift. After you’ve had that, your original inner double eyelids could be quite obvious. You may not need any more surgery then.

Doc: Let’s see… when are you available? I can arrange the operation for you now cause you come from overseas.

Me: But… Let me reconsider and contact you again. Thanks very much Doc!

(Appeared to be invisible as fast as I can… )

Several days later, I told a close friend about my plan.

She said: “Hmmm, then you may always look being surprised if you had that surgery…”

Me: That could be a good thing though. So I would be very convincing before I replied to a question raised by a student. Cause I would always say: “Oh, that’s a very good question!”

So maybe, I should have that surgery next time I return to Taiwan…
