Poppy Seed Cake 罌粟籽檸檬蛋糕

Simple but taste Spectacular!!

這是我們全家人的感想

一點也不乾澀的檸檬奶油蛋糕體

每一口都酸甜滋潤

清爽而無負擔

一粒粒的罌粟籽嵌在其中

香香脆脆的口感使的蛋糕一點都不單調

這個外表不起眼的蛋糕

原來藏著那麼驚人的美味阿!

Recipe (cuts into 12 wedges)

All-purpose flour 1 2/3 Cups

Granulated sugar 1 Cup

Poppy seeds 3 tbsp

Baking powder 1 tbsp

Sour cream 1 cup

Unsalted Butter, melted 1/2 cup

Cooking oil 1/3 cup

Lemon juice 1/3 cup

Large eggs 3

Finely grated lemon zest 1 tbsp

Lemon Syrup

Granulated sugar 1/2 cup

Water 6 tbsp

Lemon juice 1/4 cup

Strips oflemon peel, for garnish

Combine first 4 ingredients in large bpwl. Make a well in centre.

Beat next 6 ingredients in medium bowl. Add to well. Stir well. Line bottom and side of 9 inch

springform pan with parchment paper. Pour batter into pan. Spread evenly. Back in 350 F oven for

about 50 minutes until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Do not remove form pan.

Lemon Syrup: Measure first 3 ingredients into small saucepan. Heat and stir on mediam until sugar

is dissolved. Boil gently, uncovered, without stirring for 2 minutes. Makes 1/4 cup syrup.

Place cake in pan on wire rack set on baking sheet. Slowly pour hot syrup evenly over hot cake. Let

stand in pan until cool and syrup is absorbed. Run knife around inside edge of pan to loosen cake.

Let stand in pan on wire rack until cooled completely.

Remove to serving plate. Garnish with strips of lemon peel.

poppy seed cake
i've been missing the lemon poppy seed cake from my favourite bakery for so long, but none of the recipes i  find seem quite right- ytour version is exactly what it looks like, would you mind telling me the recipe?
