Last night after consulting with her sister, Madison carefully picked out the clothes for this big day and laid them nicely on the couch. This morning, she woke up early only to find out her sister still asleep. She tiptoed downstairs asking me if I could help her with the toothpaste. "Mommy, I'm so excited for the first day of school!" she said to me. "So am I, sweetie. I cann't wait for you to start kindergarten!"(now all of you moms out there, you know what I mean by this...) She looked herself in the mirror and walked away like a proud lady.
I quickly fixed them breakfast and thought I still had plenty of time before we left for school. As I was about to take my first sip of coffee, this little girl had already finished everything in her plate and emptied her glass of milk. "Mom, I'm ready for school."
Got in the car. Turned on the engine. "Mom, Alistair Begg, please." Madison requested. It's been our morning ritual that on our way to school we would always tune in to listen to the Truth for Life radio broadcast. The paster's name is Alistair Begg. The girls are used to listening to his sermon with a funny Scottish accent on their morning ride to school. What better way to start our day with the wisdom of God?
As we drove in to the parking lot, you can see a lot of anxious parents walking their precious little children to school on their first day. It felt like just yesterday I walked my 8-year-old to school for the first time. I couldn't sleep for days and had tears in my eyes when I saw her wave good-bye to me in her brand new uniforms in the hall way. And now I'm accompanying my little Madison to kindergarten. But, I've grown more mature about it. This time, I'm not going to cry.
As soon as we got to the playground, Madison found her buddies right away and disappeared in no time.
It's a Christian School. The principal started the morning with a prayer.
"Lord, may you shower your blessings on this precious child of yours and fill her day with lots of joy! " I prayed.
"Say bye-bye to your dad and mom, we are going to have some fun today." the teacher said.
Look at these kindergarteners! Don't they look all fired up and ready to go?
This is not as easy as I thought it would be. She is my little girl and will always be.
Now, it's official. Madison is in kindergarten.

很快很快地,那個老是嚷著can't wait的小女生就進了大學、接著走進禮堂、、、,
我家也有個從小就嚷著 I can't wait 的女兒,七年級就想上大學,好像才昨天的事,一下子也就大二了!

When the little girl starts another charpter of her new life journey. As a Mom, on one hand, we are so anxious and happy to see all the excitements lie ahead, and on the other hand, we are worried for the new challenges she has to face by herself. We pray that God will look after her and life will treat her kind....Well said.
Cann't imagine how I can raise my children without partnering with God?
Hopefully, they will learn to cling onto God in their daily challenges and as mothers all we need to do is cover them in our prayers.
