鑼聲歇，罪娥魂斷夜無月。
夜無月，年年煎迫，夫死子別。
地廣海闊音信絕。孤苦觳觫過春節。

Remember the Wronged Woman
To the tune of Remember the Qin Lady

The gong of militia patrol, stopped at last.
The wronged woman broke her soul,
in the frosty and moonless night.
Frosty and moonless night.
Ill-treatments of all long years,
forced her son fled, her husband died.
No massage came from anywhere,
of the land so broad, and ocean so wide.
Poorly and quaveringly she suffered
in the Spring Festival’s long dark-time.
What a suffering festival dark-time!
The north wind wept, with sob and whine.
Whose party was still celebrating?
with noisy dance, laughter, dine and wine!

Creative Translation
We cannot literally translate a literary work
avoid being boardy jerky raw and awkward
We can add some sweetener even vinegar
also prolong it longer or shorten it shorter
No matter we change its color make it over
or ignore its grammar and alter its order
if the work is better to the author and reader
do not curse the absurdity of the translator
