１９７５年，美國拉丁流行樂團邁阿密之音（Miami Sound Machine）成立於邁阿密，原名邁阿密拉丁男孩（Miami Latin Boy）

１９７７年加入表姊妹－－主唱葛洛莉雅伊斯特芬（Gloria Estefan）和Mercedes "Merci" Navarro，改名邁阿密之音

１９７７年，邁阿密之音在Audiofon旗下推出首張西班牙語大碟［Renacer / Live Again］（西／英語兩版） 逐漸走紅

１９７９年跳槽CBS唱片

１９８０年  美國拉丁流行樂團邁阿密之音（Miami Sound Machine）推出第四張專輯［Miami Sound Machine(Piano Album)］（CBS唱片發行）──也是他們第二次以團名名之

大碟由Pepe Luis Soto製作，獲得好評．
