１９８３年８月生於貝魯特的米卡（Mika）是英國／黎巴嫩／美國籍創作歌手．

母親是美國出生的黎巴嫩－敘利亞人，父親是美國人．

米卡一歲時，舉家搬到法國

九歲時，全家搬到英國．

 

２００６年１０月，２３歲的米卡推出首支單曲［Relax, Take It Easy／放鬆,別緊張］（Casablanca唱片發行）

由米卡＋Nick Van Eede創作，

這首歌的旋律源自於Cutting Crew樂團的熱門單曲［(I Just) Died in Your Arms］，因此Nick Van Eede也名列作者．

 

Greg Wells製作成一首迪斯可／電子流行／放克／歐陸流行，

旋律悅耳，節拍討好，米卡以假因表現，營造出一股迷幻氛圍．

 

［Relax, Take It Easy］在英國剛發行時未能上榜，但在第二單曲［Grace Kelly］於２００７年１月登上英國榜冠軍後，，［Relax, Take It Easy］憑藉下載銷量，在英國下載榜上最高排名第６７位。

 

２００７年底，［Relax, Take It Easy］與［Lollipop］以雙Ａ面主打重新發行，登上英國榜＃５９．
