１９９２年８月推出的［Wrong Side of Memphis／孟菲斯的背面］，

由Matraca Berg和Gary Harrison創作，

歌曲講述一位住在田納西州孟菲斯南部女人的故事，她決定抓住機會搬到納什維爾，實現成為鄉村音樂歌手的夢想。

由於納許維爾（歌曲主題的目的地）位於孟菲斯東北部，因此孟菲斯以南的地區（歌曲主題開始的地方）被認為是背面。

 

［Wrong Side of Memphis］是半自傳式的，講述作者Matraca Berg居住在路易斯安那州的一段時期，此後不久就開始想念納許維爾。

Gary Harrison說：「這首歌打破納許維爾當時仍遵守的每項硬性規定。

它有一個下降 D調音，它只是一種嗡嗡聲，實際上沒有副歌[…]我從來沒有真正想過那裡有一首歌。

 

崔夏版由Garth Fundis製作成一首鄉村搖滾曲，在輕快節奏中，

宜爾伍以扎實鼻音奔放地表現，獲得好評。

《Allmusic》稱這首歌是‘一首強硬的、近乎怒斥的搖滾樂，由Matraca Berg和Gary Harrison創作創作，以下等酒館（honky tonk）小提琴調和而成。’
