Meta營運長雪莉．桑德伯格（Sheryl Sandberg）宣佈將卸下職務，結束過去14年為社群巨頭奉獻的歲月，未來會將心力放在致力於女性賦權的慈善事業上。

桑德伯格在她的Facebook上寫道，「2008年我接下這份工作時，我期許自己能在這個職位上坐滿5年，現在14年過去了，是時候寫下我人生的下一個篇章。」

「能夠在祖克伯身旁坐上14年是我的榮幸，他是個非常有遠見、為他人著想的領導者。」桑德伯格表示，「我們碰面時他才23歲，而我38歲，但我們一起經歷了這間公司的起起伏伏。」

Facebook在2004年正式推出，換句話說桑德伯格加入Facebook時這仍是一間成立不到5年的新創公司，她便一手協助社群巨頭建立起廣告業務，這10多年來Facebook的營收從不到3億美元成長至超過1,100億美元，廣告營收更貢獻其中的97%。

桑德伯格還被認為是Instagram及WhatsApp收購案的背後策劃人，在注意到這些新興社群服務可能造成威脅時，便主動提出收購計畫。

Meta執行長祖克伯（Mark Zuckerberg）也發文回應，稱桑德伯格的離去是「一個時代的結束」，強調他會非常想念與桑德伯格共事的日子，也很慶幸她會繼續留在董事會當中，即便未來幾個月後她離開職務，也能受益於她的經驗與智慧。

桑德伯格預計會在今年秋季正式辭職，同時交棒給目前擔任成長長的賈維爾．奧利凡（Javier Olivan）。不過祖克伯在文中提到，他並不打算讓人取代桑德伯格的角色，因為她是一位超級明星，用自己的方式重新定義了營運長，奧利凡將扮演一個更傳統的營運長角色。

近年Facebook醜聞纏身，桑德伯格明星光環消失

就如祖克伯所說，桑德伯格加入Facebook後便一直處在媒體的聚光燈之下，她與祖克伯一同帶領Facebook邁向成功，同時她也將自己標榜為女權領袖，持續推動社會正義，甚至曾出過相關書籍。

結合桑德伯格傳奇般的經歷，她很快成為女性企業家的代表，外界也經常稱呼她是Facebook裡的「大人」（adult in the room），來突顯她的成熟與智慧。

然而近年來隨著Facebook的名聲惡化，她的明星光環也漸漸消失。2016年的劍橋分析醜聞事件，她便受到外界指責未能保護用戶的隱私與資訊。這幾年更因為公司不斷傳出的爭議、醜聞，而成為國會質詢的常客。

去年美國國會大廈遭受川普支持者暴力闖入，Facebook同樣被指責放任激進人士在平台上組織活動，而身為營運長的桑德伯格自然難辭其咎；另外在2018年金融巨鱷索羅斯（George Soros）公開批評Facebook，呼籲加強監管後，也傳出桑德伯格下令要求下屬調查索羅斯是否做空Facebook，被認為是針對批評者的一種攻擊。

甚至她個人的私生活也傳出負面消息，今年4月《華爾街日報》披露，桑德伯格曾向《每日郵報》施壓，希望能撤銷她當時的男友──暴雪執行長鮑比．柯迪克（Bobby Kotick）的報導，威脅中斷Facebook與他們的合作，進而造成流量損失。

桑德伯格的團隊擔憂，柯迪克的負面報導可能會有損她女權鬥士的形象，柯迪克曾因為與性騷擾有關的醜聞而形象嚴重受損。

Meta員工爆料：桑德伯格早已淡出業務，在公司失去影響力

根據《Business Insider》報導，Meta內部人士披露，桑德伯格近幾年在公司內部的影響力與話語權實際上不斷下滑，鮮少在公司內發言，也很少參與重大決策。

一位Meta前資深員工透露，桑德伯格已經從職位上淡出很長一段時間，「關於這一點，她現在仍在Meta反而更讓人吃驚。」還有高管爆料，她實際上是被「解僱」的，雖然公司對外聲稱是她辭去職務。

有員工透露，去年秋季馬恩．萊文（Marne Levine）被任命為商務長，是桑德伯格在公司內權力衰退最明顯的轉捩點，萊文在職務上表現傑出，而且受到廣告業者歡迎，而廣告原本是桑德伯格的工作領域。

《Business Insider》更指出，去年祖克伯宣佈公司改名為Meta進軍元宇宙，這Facebook歷史上最重大的變革，卻幾乎看不到桑德伯格的參與，也就是說她可能早已逐漸淡出。

另外，近年Meta的廣告營收成長表現不佳，也被認為是桑德伯格離開的原因之一。最新的財報中，Meta首次季度營收成長不到10%，且預估下個季度成績恐怕會更糟。
