   這首是Disturbed於2015年翻唱1964年Simon＆Garfunkel的歌曲，其實這首歌有很多歌手翻唱過，但個人很喜歡這版，因為經由重金屬樂團所唱出來的感覺，讓人相當震撼且情緒波濤洶湧。

   我會收錄這首歌，最主要是這是，電影「畢業生」的主題曲，聽這首歌，會回想起窮大學生時代，到台大附近看東南亞電影院(二輪)看晚間最後一場電影，回宿舍已關門，需爬牆的那一段日子。加上電影「畢業生」近乎亂倫的戀情情節，讓我一個剛從單純鄉下來的小孩，震撼不已而難眠，到今40餘年而不忘。歌詞長而艱難(對我來說)，但很美，值得一讀，整理如下：(老漁翁淺註)

人們說而不言

人們創造歌曲卻唱不出聲來

And no one dare disturb the sound of silence

沒有人敢打擾這寂靜的聲音

我說：“傻瓜，難道你不知道

寂靜如同頑疾滋長”

聽我對你說的有益的話

拉住我伸給你的手

在寂靜的水井中迴響

人們向自己創造的霓虹之神

神光中閃射出告誡的語句

在字裡行間指明

And the sign said:

它告訴人們
