Unit 4

Let’s Talk!   參考答案P. 90

Why does cyberbullying happen so frequently nowadays?

(1) Irresponsible Internet trolls think that their real identities won’t be revealed, so they won’t have to take any responsibility. However, thanks to technological advances, people can no longer act without considering the consequences. Anything they do online will leave a trace.

(2) Selfish Internet trolls don’t know—or don’t even care about—the negative effects their hurtful comments may have on their victims.

(3) Cyberbullies get a sense of superiority over others when they leave mean comments or spread rumors.
