Andy 的第一場網球比賽 (英文寫作練習1)

One day last summer, on my way home, driving somewhere near Da Li Sport Park, I noticed a poster, which read," Summer tennis lessons for the youth, a month for less than 2 thousand dollars". My son, Andy, was in the car, and I asked if he would like to attend. He said "Yes".
Since then, Andy enjoyed playing tennis very much in his free time and it has become his favorite after school activity. Together, we often watched ATP tennis games on MOD TV. Thus we get to know those famous players like Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Djokovic, Andy Murry, Stosur, Wozmiacki, Jonkovic, Dementeava, and the Williams.( spelling to the sound only)
Last week, Andy's coach asked if he would like to give it a try at a tournament held by Taichung Tennis Association. He said "say" and went to the match on Dec.4 and 5. To our surprise, he won the first run. Although he failed the second one, it still felt great because that was, after all, his very first game.
On the court, he learned the rules and manners of how to play tennis, the technics and experience to interact with different players, and most of, an absolutely positive attitude when facing a game.
I'm very proud of Andy because now he not only plays the piano but also plays tennis. Those are the two things I've always believed a man should learn and enjoy in his life.
BTW, which one do you think Andy is ?

Dear Robert,
From your writing, I see a very loving and dedicated father. Andy is lucky to have a dad always there for him. I feel playing tennis and playing piano go well together since one is so dynamic, while the other is static. Chinese old saying" static like a virgin, active like a rabbit".

Actually, I named my son Andy only because it will be on top of the name lists.

Andy 初試啼聲 後 就將 展露頭角了
也許 運動 不應 把勝負 看的太重
不過 贏球的成就感 是 投入熱情的原動力吧
相信 Andy 除了 在打球的過程 能學習到 許多的道理 外
在球技的進步上 也是 可以期待的
好巧 我家兒子 也叫 Andy 也學過一點 小提琴
站上表演的舞台 信心的增進 也是一種收穫 吧
