原本想每週貼幾個我陪讀小犬與自已當年準備GRE的單字。後來發現很多很好的英文單字教學網，我把這些好網接上，請各位好好使用，最好配合一本好字典，請參考曹伯伯背字典的方法一文。
我建議你用這個單字區的每週或每天查10個字做增加字彙的小練習。一天只花15分鐘，也可學兩個新字根 (root)。小班和中班都是接入學字根的相同網。熟悉以後，看到新字可以仔細分析。
學習用字典查出單字的意思，還有詞別 (動詞，名詞...)，如果是動詞，那麼列出動詞三態，如果是名詞，列出相關形容詞、副詞，還有一句例句。
最重要的，你得會唸你新學的單字，而且要會使用這個字造句。
我以前把單字寫在小紙卡(Index card)上，紙卡的正面只有新單字，其他全寫後面，我寫了一個鞋盒子。這只是一種方法，你有更適合自已的其他學習方法，當然要用。

Good Spelling Habits to learn the spelling of a word:
pronounce it, study it and write it.
(1) Pronounce words carefully.
(2) Use a dictionary.
(3) Spell by syllables. A syllable is a word part that is pronounced as one uninterupted sound.
Examples:
One syllable though, stairs
Two syllables Luck.y, re.gion
Three syllables min.i.mum, e.lev.en
Four syllables her.biv.o.rous, cou.ra.geous.ly
