美帝近年來﹐好吃懶做﹐江河日下﹐靠印發空頭美鈔﹐換取它國資源渡日。因此 通貨膨脹﹐經年累月﹐新蓋的房子﹐材料﹐工錢 雙雙飛漲。 老舊 中古屋 略作翻修﹐市價 也 水漲船高。
十年前搬家﹐房價不好﹐買了新的﹐舊的 若依市價 賣了 虧大了﹐不得己 出租了。
十年河東﹐十年河西﹐風水輪流轉。近日 年歲高了﹐出租房 管理頭痛﹐準備上市脱手﹐但需 翻修﹐佛要金裝。
向好友借了 皮卡 Pickup - Toyota Tacoma。 完工該還車了﹐理應 加滿汽油﹐猜想 Octane 87 即可﹐但仍打電話問老友﹐他加 Octane 多少的 汽油。
不意料 他說 愈貴愈好。乃是開修車廠的朋友 狄(笛?)茂(帽?)雄﹐狄老板 教的。

其實 噴嘴清潔 靠 外加 溶劑 detergents 與 增高 Octane 加的 additives 不同。 噴嘴清潔 與 Octane 風馬牛 毫無關係。
溶劑 detergents 好壞 確實 與 價格有關﹐但 大多 反映在 品牌上 如 Exxon, Shell, Chevron。
Octane number 高低 需求﹐與 引擎 engine 的 壓縮比 Compression ratio 有關【註二】。 壓縮比 又與 引擎 效率 有關。 壓縮比 高的 引擎 較輕﹐馬力較大﹐工藝較難﹐一般用在跑車﹐或較高貴 車種。 不幸 壓縮比 太高﹐油氣 壓縮 之後 溫度高﹐易自燃﹐汽爆 → 產生 乒乓 Knocking。 因此 煉油商 需添加 additives 【註三】增高 Octane number。93 Octane 比 87 Octane 貴 10+ %
