郁孤台下清江水，中間多少行人淚。

The water of the Gang flows beneath the Yugutai. It is a tear-laden river for so many passersby.

西北望長安，可憐無數山。

Looking northwesterly toward Changan, regretfully, numerous mountains obstruct my eyes. 

青山遮不住，畢竟東流去。

But how can the green mountains stop the river from flowing and carrying my thoughts with the water? .

江晚正愁余，山深聞鷓鴣。

In the dusk, grief surrounds me, while from the remote mountains, the calling of partridges comes.
