He is one of the greatest educationalists in modern China, the founder of Fudan University.  Mr. Ma also lived long enough to witness the tribulation of China from 1840, the year he was born when First Opium War broke out, till 1939, the time he died amid the the toughest days of China's Resistance War against Japan.  Please share with me the brief biographies of him at:
