  Definitions: 1. a possible effect or result

            2. something that you suggest is true, although you do not say it directly

  Example: The driver s implication in the crime was never proved.

Definitions: 1. to give someone the enthusiasm to do or create something

           2. to gove people a particular feeling

Synonyms: influence, cause, prompt, encourage

Example: His speech inspired us to try again.

  Definition: certainly correct or true

  Example: It is undeniable that attitudes toward marriage have been changing.

  Definition: the shape of the outside edge of something

  Synonyms: outline, profile, form

  Example: The sculpture reproduces the smooth contours of the human body.

when you should be fair to all those involved

   Definition: to shine with quick flashes of light

  Definitions: 1. to criticize and feel disappointed with someone for something they have done

            2. a confusing or uncontrolled situation

  Definition: to give more details or information about something

Synonyms: develop, detail, dwell on, work out

Example: They elaborated a plan of study.

   Definition: the tall building

  Synonyms: palace, villa, chateau, castle

  Example: I spent two nights in the mansion.

   Definition: progress or development that is becoming faster or stronger

   Synonyms: force, impetus, thrust, push

   Example: The truck gained momentum as it rolled down the steep road.

Definition: an open area with a floor and a roof, attached to the lower level of a house

Synonyms: veranda, portico, gallery, galilee

Example: We waited in the porch until it stopped raining.

 

24. supercilious adj. [͵supɚˋsɪlɪəs]

   Definition: a supercilious person behaves as if they think they are beer or more important than everyone else

   Example: The king is always supercilious.

 

25. arrogant adj. [ˋærəgənt]

  Definition: someone who is arrogant thinks that he is better or more important than other people and behaves in a way that is rude and too confident

  Synonyms: cavalier, insolent, haughty

  Example: He is so arrogant that he thinks he is better than everyone else.
