Main Topic: burn out (v)/burnout (n)

"Burn out" and "burnout" usually mean feeling very tired physically and mentally or exhausted. In a situation of being very tired after work, you can applied following expressions "I am totally burned out", "My job burns me out" or "I have a bad burnout after work". "Burn out" is very common-used in a daily basis to describe "being very tired".

I am totally burned out", "My job burns me out" 或 "I have a bad burnout after work"這些表示方式都是非常普遍用來表示非常疲累的說法

By its literal words, "burn", it is actually related to fire in the first place. For instance, in a dark room with a box of matches, you must light up the matches to illuminate the room. However, for a match, it can’t last long. When a match is off, you need to light up another. Therefore, as a person, we work or consume our energy for long hours. Finally, our energy must be used up, and we need to regenerate energy through resting, picture.1 and picture.2. By the imagination with matches, we can easily grip the complete idea about "burn out" or "burnout".
