「AI虛擬知識」才是核心問題，可能需要改變既有的教育理念
過去這一年多來，生成式AI的應用在教育引起很大的迴響。但是如我在以下這篇文章所分析的，生成式AI在教育領域的應用依需求可以分成「正確可靠」、「創意發想」、「方便實用」三種，而後兩者其實幾乎都是正向的，可以協助大量降低機械性的操作，提高教學者或學習者的效率。(參考：迎接「後知識時代」的來臨---從生成式AI的虛擬知識談起(發表於風傳媒))
而對於學生學習真正有影響的是「正確可靠」這個功能，因為AI無法保證提供最正確適合的知識內容。這也是為何我稱之為「AI虛擬知識」。但是目前教育界似乎還是想把太執著於「要把AI置入某種教學理論來教學生」。那只是製造另一個機器人"老師"來代替目前老師的工作，本質上並無改變教育的方式，也會把AI可能的錯誤或幻覺帶進教育現場。
但是我個人相信，AI時代可能有另一種方式，是製造好的環境，鼓勵學生用AI來自學，自行多方探索，發現到自己想要專入的點，會比這些想要透過AI來刻意的引導，還來得有效也比較長期。
用深度學習(Deep Learning)的架構來比喻，前者(目前的情形)有點像是用rule-baed的概念來設計"AI"(這裡的"AI"是,指真人學生)，如同文章圖一的左邊。但是未來AI的虛擬知識會更為普遍，成為一個訓練"AI"(這裡的"AI"是指真人學生)的資料來源，然後我們只需要提供相關且適當的環境，如同hyper-parameter)以及資料範圍(程度或科目)，他們(真人)就會從結果自己去學習，讓他內部的parameter才會真的有變化。也就是說，這類似一種data-driven的方式。這樣的學習成果可能不是傳統教育理論可以解釋的，但有可能更為有效。(如同圖一的右邊)
但是當然，我的意思並不是說過往的理論是錯誤的，而是說可能因為太注重現有的rule，而忽略人類學習因為環境的變化而有新的適應能力，如同類神經網路在資料夠大的時候總可能找到更好的參數來模擬。或許這個學習方式也只適用於某些類型的學生(例如樂於主動學習的)，而非一般性的。但是我個人覺得從教育來說，這可能是AI引入教育時最核心的典範轉移(paradigm shift)，而不是只有如何把AI當作教學工具引入課程。
我不敢說這是絕對正面的，很難說，也可能會有不好的效果。但如何打破自己僵化的思維，用data-driven的方式訓練(training)或調教(fine-tune)"AI"們，本來就是我們教育人士在AI時代需要重新思考的。
