１９４５年底出生於夏威夷檀香山的的Bette Midler／貝蒂米勒是著名的全方位藝人

在歌壇　影壇　電視　舞台　秀場皆有亮眼成績

由於母親是個超級電影迷 便將兩個女兒的名字照著自己喜愛的明星取
像貝蒂就是依著３０／４０年代好萊塢女皇貝蒂黛維絲（Bette Davis）的教名而來的
沒想到３０年後　這個Bette也成了電影明星

１９６５年　她開始接觸舞台

１９７３年推出首張大碟　立刻在樂壇走紅
１９７９年　主演了以６０年代搖滾天后 Janis Joplin為藍本的傳記電影〔歌聲淚痕／The Rose〕
讓她演技大受肯定

８０年代演出許多精彩喜劇　

１９８８年底　貝蒂與芭芭拉荷西（Barbara Hershey）主演賣座感人文藝片〔The Beaches／情比姐妹深〕

並演唱電影原聲帶　首發單曲是翻唱自６０年代The Drifter的經典〔Under The Broadwalk〕　但沒入榜

１９８９年春末發行了第二主打〔Wind Beneath My Wing／乘風比翼〕
就像桃莉芭頓／Dolly Parton的經典〔I Will Always Love You〕一樣
〔Wind Beneath my Wings〕原本是首鄉村歌曲
自１９８３年Gary Morris演唱以來
又先後由Lou Rawls, Mighty Clouds of Joy, B.J. Thomas, and Willie Nelson
the Lettermen , Perry Como ，Roger Whittaker ， Sheena Easton ,Nana Mouskouri, Zamfir, James Galway, and Doc Severinsen等鄉村　福音　流行　到演奏界各界歌者／樂手詮釋過
不過直到貝蒂蜜勒翻唱成流行版後才廣為人知
１９８９年夏天 　４３歲的Bette Midler以此曲登上美國單曲榜后座
得到生平第一首冠軍曲 　也成為〔Wind Beneath my Wings〕最有名的版本

Bette那豐富飽滿　充滿情感的嗓音將演繹
