［Somewhere in England］是哈里森在披頭四前隊友約翰藍儂（John Lennon）１９８０年遇害後發行的第一張專輯。

１９８１年５月發行的專輯首支單曲［All Those Years Ago／多年以前］便是對藍儂的致敬。

由喬治哈里遜創作，哈里遜＋Ray Cooper製作成一首藍調搖滾／流行搖滾／軟式搖滾／流行靈魂，旋律琅琅上口,

 

 

１９８０年１２月８日，約翰藍儂遇害，令哈里遜深受打擊，儘管在藍儂遇害前的幾年裡，他和哈里遜幾乎沒有聯繫。

哈里遜評論道：「經歷我們一起經歷的一切之後，我對約翰藍儂一直充滿愛和敬意。我感到震驚和難以置信。」

 

在藍儂去世之前，哈里遜最初是為林哥史塔（Ringo Starr）創作這首歌，並填上不同的歌詞。儘管史塔錄製了這首歌，但他覺得這首歌的音域太高，而且不喜歡歌詞。

哈里遜收回了這首歌，並在藍儂去世後修改了歌詞，以表達對他的敬意。

林哥史塔擔任鼓手，保羅麥卡尼（Paul McCartney，以及他的Wings樂隊成員Linda McCartney和Denny Laine）則在基礎音軌上錄製和聲。
