１９６７年由美國歌手金皮特尼（Gene Pitney）灌錄，登上英國單曲榜＃５，但未能打入美國榜。之後被許多其他藝人翻唱。

１９８８年９月，３１歲的英國歌手馬克阿蒙（Marc Almond）推出第四張大碟［The Stars We Are］（Parlophone／Some Bizzare／Capitol唱片發行）

由Marc Almond，Annie Hogan，Bob Kraushaar，Billy McGee製作，評價良好．

首支單曲是７月發行的［Somethings Gotten Hold of My Heart］翻唱版．

最初專輯收錄的是阿蒙的獨唱版，被製作成一首流行抒情曲，

在穩定的節奏間，馬克以他醇厚的男中音演繹．

後來經過混音，４８歲的金皮特尼的歌聲也加入歌曲（署名：Marc Almond featuring Gene Pitney）。　

合唱版版本大受歡迎，在１９８９年１月登上英國單曲冠軍，並持續四週。
