雖然此曲掛名藍儂－麥卡尼合作 但實際是後者個人寫的
當時藍儂正與首任妻子離婚
［Hey Jude］是保羅麥卡尼為安慰藍儂之子朱利安（Julian）而寫
這首流行抒情搖滾由George martin製作
原曲長達７分多鐘 旋律感人 特別是不斷重複的‘Hey Jude’讓人印象深刻
［Hey Jude］可說是全球暢銷
登上英國單曲榜兩週冠軍 是當時在英國榜稱王歌時（７分多鐘）最長的歌曲 也是當年最暢銷單曲
