艾莉雅（Aalyah，1979-2001）是１９９０年代著名黑人藝人．

與另兩名少女歌手白蘭蒂（Brandy）&莫妮卡（Monica）是同期成名歌手．

她是非裔黑人　不過也從祖母身上也遺傳到美州原住民血統

１２歲與唱片公司由Jive發行負責發行的Blackground唱片簽約

１９９４年，１５歲的美國少女歌手艾莉雅（Aalyah）以勞勃．凱利（R. Kelly）製作的首張專輯〔Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number／年齡只是一個數字〕成名．

同年８月與年長１２歲的勞勃．凱利結婚（當時艾莉雅只有１５歲半），

面臨非法婚姻的指控，半年後婚姻被宣告無效．

同時跟勞勃．凱利斷絕所有關係。

 

１９９６年艾莉雅所屬的Blackground唱片結束與Jive Records 的合作，並與 Atlantic 簽署了新的發行協議，

 

在那段動盪時期，艾莉雅開始與Sean Combs錄製她的第二張錄音室專輯，但Sean Combs很快就放棄了該項目，促使艾莉雅和她的管理層尋找新的合作者。

隨後，她開始與Jermaine Dupri、Vincent Herbert 和Craig King等製作人一起錄製唱片，
