１９９２年７月  ２３歲的美國歌壇巨星巴比布朗（Bobby Brown）與黑人天后惠妮休斯頓（Whitney Houston）結婚

隨後發行的第三張大碟［Bobby］雖然表現不差

但顯然無法延續上張大賣的［Don’t Be Cruel］佳績

接著巴比變成‘惠妮休斯頓的丈夫’在媒體也因私生活的負面行為聞名

為了扭轉事業與形象的下滑　

１９９６年與新版本（New Edition）團員重組　發行［Home Again］專輯 相當成功

 

１９９７年１１月　布朗乘勝追擊　推出睽違近五年的第四張個人大碟［Forever／永遠］

由於他想打破先前的成功音樂模式　樂風轉變不少　可是評價平凡

首支主打為［Feelin’ Inside／內心感覺］ 由巴比, Derrick Garrett, Felicia Jefferson, Fred Rosser合寫

Derrick Garrett & Fred Rosser製作

是首融合R&B／New Jack Swing／Hip-Hop的歌曲　節奏中板　律動深沉

 

妻子惠妮休斯頓並在MV版獻身, 擔任醫師角色

並在歌曲開頭與結尾獻聲片段（MV版將惠妮在專輯客串的(Intro)Nobody Does It Better加在開頭）

但大碟發行前　巴比因吸毒藥物問題　形象惡化　加上缺乏宣傳

［Fellin’ Inside］並沒打入Billboard單曲榜　連一向支持他的R&B榜亦然

在英國則勉強拿到單曲榜＃４０　荷蘭榜＃９２

單曲的慘敗也影響到大碟

［Forever］只登上美國Billboard專輯榜＃６１　副榜－R&B榜＃１５　英國榜＃１３４

此後布朗的音樂事業持續下滑　再也沒有回到前三張大碟的輝煌時期了
