因此,吳鳳科大機械系針對工具機相關產業所需求之人力提出一個具體可行的方案。從課程配套、設備更新、業界師資的協同教學與校外實習等,透過靈活的教學與培訓,能夠訓練出為業界所用的人才。

吳鳳科大機械系經過多年積極的爭取與規劃,105學年度獲得勞動部認證大嘉義地區第一個CNC銑床乙級證照檢定合格考場。110年度第3梯次全國技能檢定術科測試職類-CNC銑床乙級於2月22至3月3日在吳鳳科技大學機械系考場隆重登場。本次檢定有來自東石高中、北港農工機械科及吳鳳科大學生約35人。
吳鳳科大機械系主任蕭明章表示,業界對CNC銑床專業人員求才若渴,所以推動CNC銑床乙級檢定有其必要性。就本系而言,當初要設立這個考場,主要是在培養職場需要的人才,以縮短產學落差。本系一直在培育企業的「即時可用」人才,達成產學「吳鳳接軌」、學習即實習、畢業即就業之目標。
