國際級紀錄片導演鄧文斌花4年時間和夥伴們完成的「中間之地」，近日獲布拉格國際影展最佳紀錄影片奬，這同時也是鄧文斌的第35個國際影展獎，讓他被各界同業影人盛讚為「台灣之光」。

其實，有「環境生態」導演美譽的鄧文斌，多年前因拍攝國家地理頻道節目「蝴蝶密碼」，經常住屏東、高雄、台東冬天紫斑蝶聚集渡冬的山區附近，這些山谷有許多石板屋，蝴蝶谷大都在原住民部落附近山區，為了找紫斑蝶落腳的地方，他經常在石板屋附近山區穿梭，慢慢對石板屋產生興趣與好奇。製作團隊當年在台灣西部地區拍到好幾隻翅膀有記號的紫斑蝶，其中存活最久的一隻紫斑蝶翅膀上的記號是前1年10月所做的，他們拍到牠的時間是隔年5月，其間過了7個月，這在紫斑蝶族群裏算是超高齡的，要捕獲而且拍到的概率不到30萬分之1，是非常難得與珍貴的紀錄。

拍攝地點老七佳位於山林之中，海拔高約570公尺處，目前仍有近50幢完整之石板屋，為現存石板屋保存非常完整聚落，從上往下看石板屋彷彿一幅美麗風景畫。走近看石板屋沒有一根釘子，層層疊疊，井然有序，冬暖夏涼。

「中間之地」影片內容以祖靈呼喚遊子，重返部落參與修復石板屋聚落的行列，其間族人傳統婚姻的觀念，異國婚姻的衝突，兩代之間想法的差異和對部落責任的態度，所有的不一致，在傳統優美文化的召喚和對族群向心力的趨使下，在祖靈和石板屋前，由衝突走向和解的曲折過程。

鄧文斌說：「我本來就很喜歡原住民文化，不管是音樂、工藝、舞蹈、圖騰、節慶儀式、傳統建築，處處充滿力與美，蘊含了非常多的前人的智慧，有很深的文化底韻，那是千百年累積而來的，非常的接地氣而有溫度！」

鄧文斌在國內榮獲7座金鐘獎肯定，在國際各大重要國際影展更是得獎頻頻，再次獲獎，鄧文斌還是很開心。當初鄧文斌只是覺得這是世界文化遺產的潛力點很珍貴，沒考慮經費就拍了，他認為幫原住民朋友做一些有意義的事情應該的。鄧文斌同時也非常感謝老七佳部落族人的協助，雖然他們有些散居台灣各地，但對部落文化還是非常的關心，他也要感謝文化部影視及流行音樂產業局的部分經費補助。
