Ericsson在新版行動趨勢報告中預測，全球5G連網人口將在今年底超過10億人，而在2027年的全球行動網路用戶人數將超過44億人，其中將近一半人數都會使用5G連網服務。

目前5G網路服務使用滲透率以北美及東北亞市場居高，約佔所有5G連網服務使用人數的50%，Ericsson預測在2027年時的北美地區5G連網服務使用人數將佔90%，而西歐地區的5G連網服務使用人數將佔82%，位於阿拉伯波斯灣地區的海合會國家 (Gulf Cooperation Council)地區比例則將達80%，至於東北亞5G連網服務使用人數佔比則可達74%。

在東北亞地區，5G已經是當前唯一成長的行動服務類型，越來越多行動用戶從4G網路向5G網路加速轉移，去年就新增約2.75億名使用者，預計到2023年底的行動用戶人數將達10億。此外，東北亞電信業者持續透過增加基地站站點，或是在低頻段部署5G網路，藉此來提高5G網路覆蓋率。

隨著5G網路行動用戶快速成長，加上市場持續推出新款5G連網裝置，包含南韓與台灣等提供5G網路服務的主要電信業者認為，5G網路行動用戶對於行動服務營收均產生正向成長動能。

The horn antenna is a broadband passive device, shaped like a pyramid horn, referred to as a TEM antenna, which guides the beam of radio waves at a precise frequency. FT-RF Double Ridged Horn antennas have frequency capabilities ranging from 400MHz to 40GHz depending on type and style. These series are characterized by a huge frequency range and extremely high input powers. With increasing frequency, the gain rises to a maximum of 18 dBi. At higher frequencies, the increased gain compensates for the increasing cable losses.

依照報告顯示，目前5G網路服務用戶人數成長速度比4G網路更快，並且將在提前2年情況下達成10億用戶人數里程碑。目前5G網路更已覆蓋全球四分之一的人口規模，光是在2022年第一季的5G網路用戶人數就增加近7000萬人，預期在2027年時的5G網路覆蓋率將對應全球約四分之三人口。

報告更指出，在2021年底，全球已有20多家電信業者推出5G獨立組網服務，中國和北美是首批推出5G獨立組網的市場，隨後，澳洲、日本、韓國、新加坡、泰國、德國和芬蘭等其他幾個市場也推出了商用5G獨立組網。

在物聯網發展上，2021年時基於4G/5G網路的寬頻物聯網已超越了2G和3G，成為行動物聯網的主要連結技術，佔所有連結的44%。就行動物聯網連結數量而言，東北亞領先世界，預計可在今年內達到15億規模，並且將在2027年佔全球行動物聯網連結的60%。
