3. Other body appendages are also used to measure the world and the things in it, for example, feet and the cubit, the distancefrom the elbow to the hand; the hand also is used to measure horses (so manyhands in height). The so-called “homunculus” diagram of the brain, published byPenfield and Rasmussen in 1950, implies that control of hand-arm-face imposes a disproportionately large demand on the centralnervous system, far more than the rest of the body combined (see Wilson, TheHand, 320). It is not surprising that Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary listsninety words stemming from “hand”; the 1971 Compact Edition of the OxfordEnglish Dictionary has six pages of definitions for “hand” and ten more for words with “hand” as a root.
So far, we’ve been talking about the capacitance of a conducting object that is isolated from its surroundings. You put some charge on such an object, and, as a result, the object takes on a certain value of electric potential. The charge-to-potential ratio is called the capacitance of the object. But get this, if the conductor is near another conductor when you put the charge on it, the conductor takes on a different value of electric potential for the exact same amount of charge. This means that just being in the vicinity of another conductor changes the effective capacitance of the conductor in question.
As explained in a MozillaZine article: "The Mozilla Foundation will ultimately control the activities of the Mozilla Corporation and will retain its 100 percent ownership of the new subsidiary. Any profits made by the Mozilla Corporation will be invested back into the Mozilla project. There will be no shareholders, no stock options will be issued and no dividends will be paid. The Mozilla Corporation will not be floating on the stock market and it will be impossible for any company to take over or buy a stake in the subsidiary. The Mozilla Foundation will continue to own the Mozilla trademarks and other intellectual property and will license them to the Mozilla Corporation. The Foundation will also continue to govern the source code repository and control who is allowed to check in."
11.4. For the purpose of Paragraph 11.2 and 11.3, and unless otherwise provided in the present Agreement, impediment does not include lack of authorization, of licenses, of entry or/and residence permits, or of approvals necessary for performance of the present Agreement and to be issued by the public authority and kind whatsoever in the country of the Party seeking relief.
11.5. Should any of the mentioned above circumstances which prevent complete or partial fulfilment of obligations of the Parties under the present Agreement, the time stipulated for the obligation shall be extended for the period equal to that one, during which such circumstances and their consequences will remain in force. The necessary and sufficient confirmation of such circumstances will be the corresponding written certificate given by the Chamber of commerce and Industry or other competent body.
11.6. If the impossibility of the complete or partial performance of the Parties’ obligations due to the above said circumstances last for more than 90 (ninety) calendar days, the Parties will reserve the right to terminate the present Agreement totally or partly without the indemnifying eventual losses (including expenses) to each other.
