暮年心半死

一半存天真

幾度思摩詰

同病示眾生

不日泥銷骨

永恆是法身

Alone, grown old, I gaze upon the way ahead;
The sickness takes me, yet hath struck not deep.

My heart, in life’s late winter, lies half dead;
Yet half preserves the childlike soul I keep.

How oft my thoughts to Wang Wei’s spirit turn,
The sage called Mojie, who knew suffering’s art;
Through shared affliction, let all beings learn
The truth that speaks from an afflicted heart.

Ere long, to clay shall bone and flesh return;
Their earthly form shall perish and depart.
Yet what abides when all the worlds decay?
The Dharma Body, beyond night and day.

独り老いて　前途を望む
病を得るも　いまだ深からず

暮年の心　半ば死せり
なお半分は　天真を宿す

幾たびか摩詰を思う
同じ苦しみをもって　衆生に示す

遠からず　泥となり骨は消えゆく
永遠なるもの　それは法身
