1889年8月，吳鸞旂在劉銘傳興建臺灣省城時，在城內興建一處公館，為今台中市大智路30號^[1]。其中更樓為採歇山式屋頂的二層式建築，上層門房欄干鑲有花磁磚片做為裝飾，細工表現與霧峰宮保第、大里林宅相當接近。提聯為「欲登高處窺四野，且聽譙樓報幾更」^[3]。因風水之故，位置偏向正堂左前方。

吳鸞旂公館更樓，是位於臺灣臺中市北區台中公園的更樓，為1889年所建的吳鸞旂公館殘餘建物，1983年遷來此公園。

銅馬因年代久遠，台中市政府竟然直接派人塗上一層厚厚的塑膠漆，使的青銅馬變成塑膠馬

還來不及登錄為文化資產，因為「落漆」，意外被漆成「塑膠馬」，如今又變成「金馬」，弄巧成拙，讓文化界人士扼腕。

臺中公園是一座位於臺灣臺中市北區的公園，位於自由路、雙十路、精武路交接路口，該公園於日治時期所創立，是臺中市歷史最悠久的公園，園區佔地約32,889坪。

臺中公園週邊為臺中早期發展地區之一，當時公園內的大土丘為臺中古名「大墩」的發源地（後又稱砲臺山），而日月湖也是綠川流經形成的天然水塘。

2000年，市政府找回神社的鳥居，補了二根石柱並放倒在遺址原地。於2006年至2007年左右，現存石砌臺基、銅馬與石獅各兩座、奉獻紀念碑（原為日治時期，園內有為許多設施和植樹而奉獻的紀念碑，原立在各個角落，目前集中保存17座）都是臺中神社的遺跡。

其實桃園中央大學附中(原為中壢高中)也有銅馬一對

甚至附近還有白馬路的地名

早年當地有半夜馬蹄聲和嘶叫聲傳言

台中公園已經成為古蹟集中地
