喝酒會臉紅易致癌！近5成台灣人都有「基因缺陷」 不宜飲酒

一喝酒就臉紅可要當心了！這很可能是基因缺陷，導致身體無法有效代謝酒精，長期飲酒可能會增加罹癌風險。據衛福部心健司調查，台灣有49%的民眾缺乏特定基因「乙醛去氫酶（ALDH2）」，無法有效代謝酒精的情況下，一喝酒就會讓身體暴露在致癌風險中。
史丹佛大學醫學院資深研究員陳哲宏指出，有不少民眾以為喝酒會臉紅，代表酒精被代謝掉、肝功能良好，所以可以多喝沒關係，但其實喝酒會臉紅是缺乏代謝基因「乙醛去氫酶」，導致肝臟無法正常將一級致癌物乙醛代謝成無毒的乙酸，所造成的微血管擴張，所以「喝酒會臉紅就代表不適合飲酒。」
根據國際癌症研究機構資料顯示，酒精引發的癌症有「食道癌、肝癌、大腸癌、直腸癌、口咽癌、喉癌、乳腺癌」等7種，而在台灣有49%民眾缺乏「乙醛去氫酶」，這也意味著身體無法有效代謝酒精，只要一喝酒就會增加致癌風險。
