〈The Reissued Youth〉9
36. The Mastermind Is Brought to Justice
Night enveloped the tropical island of Xiaoliuqiu.
In front of the European-style hotel, dim yellow lights cast their glow over the quiet street. The hotel, usually brightly illuminated, had now fallen into deep slumber. Only the night clerk remained behind the front desk.
Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps shattered the stillness of the night.
Yu Szu-hai arrived at the hotel entrance with Li Ming-te, several of his men, and two uniformed police officers.
Seeing a group of people arrive so late at night, the desk clerk looked startled and hurriedly stood up.
"May I ask who you are...?"
One of the officers displayed his badge and replied sternly,
"Police investigation. Were here to see Chu Fu-liang."
The clerk froze for a moment and was just about to answer when faint footsteps suddenly echoed from the staircase upstairs.
Awakened by the commotion below, Chu Fu-liang immediately felt his heart sink.
Wearing his nightgown, he walked to the window and looked outside.
His face instantly darkened.
Uniformed police officers stood at the entrance.
Among them was Yu Szu-hai.
"Damn..."
Chu Fu-liang muttered under his breath.
He knew the truth had been exposed.
Years of experience in the underworld told him that this was no time for a direct confrontation.
The only option was to avoid the immediate danger.
Without another thought, he quietly slipped out through the hotels back door.
But the moment he stepped outside, several shadowy figures emerged from the darkness.
"Boss Chu, where are you heading so late at night?"
Yu Szu-hais men had already been waiting behind the hotel.
Chu Fu-liangs face changed.
Before he could turn and run, two men firmly seized his arms.
"Let go!"
"What are you trying to do?"
he shouted as he struggled.
But Yu Szu-hais men gave him no opportunity to escape.
They immediately escorted him back to the front entrance of the hotel.
Under the moonlight, Chu Fu-liang, still dressed in his nightgown, was brought before Yu Szu-hai.
His disheveled appearance formed a sharp contrast to the dignified image he normally projected as the owner of the hotel.
Yu Szu-hai looked at him, a cold smile appearing on his lips.
"Arent you good at hiding?"
He stepped forward, staring coldly into Chu Fu-liangs eyes.
"Go on."
"Run again."
His voice dripped with sarcasm.
"You dare do it, but you dont dare face the consequences?"
"What kind of man does that make you?"
Chu Fu-liang clenched his teeth and glared fiercely at Yu Szu-hai.
"Yu Szu-hai, stop pretending to be so righteous!"
Yu Szu-hai ignored the angry outburst.
Instead, he turned and signaled to the police.
One of the officers stepped forward, holding a file.
In a solemn voice, he said,
"Chu Fu-liang, we have already obtained sufficient evidence."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"We have arrested your three accomplices, including Black Dog."
"They have confessed that you ordered them to set fire to the Tsai familys guesthouse."
Chu Fu-liangs expression changed instantly.
Although it lasted only a moment, everyone saw the panic that flashed across his face.
The officer continued,
"You are now under arrest on suspicion of incitement to commit arson."
With those words, the officer removed a pair of handcuffs from his belt.
The cold metallic sound rang out distinctly in the silent night.
Click.
The instant the handcuffs locked around Chu Fu-liangs wrists, the grim expression on his face finally gave way to unmistakable panic.
He had never imagined that the carefully orchestrated act of revenge he had planned would ultimately land him behind bars.
Standing nearby, Yu Szu-hai watched coldly as the police led Chu Fu-liang away.
Li Ming-te walked over to Yu Szu-hai and asked quietly,
"Boss, the Tsai family should be safe now, right?"
Yu Szu-hai gazed toward the distant sea.
After a long silence, he replied,
"I hope so."
Yet the tension never completely left his eyes.
Because he knew that the human heart was far more unpredictable than the wind and waves in the darkness.
And after this crisis, the relationship between Tsai Shih-nan and himself had quietly begun to change.
37. Letting Go of Prejudice and Getting to Know Each Other Again
The afternoon sunlight streamed through the large glass windows into the lobby of the Tsai familys Japanese-style guesthouse, illuminating the wooden floor and the simple yet elegant Japanese décor. A potted plant in the corner swayed gently in the breeze, while the faint fragrance of hinoki cypress lingered in the air.
Tsai Shih-nan sat on the sofa with a newspaper in his hands. His brows were slightly furrowed as his eyes rested on the newspaper headline.
The guesthouse had been open for only two days before it became the target of an arson attempt.
Although disaster had been averted, the incident still weighed heavily on his mind like a stone.
On the other side of the room, Tsai Shih-fen sat behind the reception counter organizing the guest records, occasionally looking up at her brother.
She knew that what had happened the previous night had changed her brothers opinion of Yu Szu-hai to some extent.
Still, with her brothers stubborn personality, admitting that he had misjudged someone would not be easy.
Just then, the front door opened, and Chang Ya-hui hurried inside.
She carried a rolled-up newspaper in her hand, her face showing obvious concern.
"Shih-nan!"
Hearing her voice, Tsai Shih-nan looked up and quickly set his newspaper aside when he saw her expression.
"Ya-hui, whats wrong?"
Walking over to the sofa, Chang Ya-hui spread the newspaper open.
"I only found out from todays paper that something happened here at the guesthouse last night."
Tsai Shih-nan let out a quiet sigh and leaned back against the sofa.
"Yeah."
"The guesthouse had only been open for two days when someone came to set it on fire."
"Fortunately, Yu Szu-hais men discovered them in time and stopped them."
"Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable."
Hearing her brother mention Yu Szu-hai, Tsai Shih-fen put down the papers in her hands and walked out from behind the reception counter.
"Brother, theres actually something Ive wanted to tell you."
She glanced at her brother before looking toward Chang Ya-hui.
"Youve always regarded Yu Szu-hai as nothing more than a gangster."
"Youve been deeply prejudiced against him."
Tsai Shih-nan was silent for a moment, his eyes still carrying a trace of caution.
"He used to run with the underworld."
"Thats a fact."
Chang Ya-hui sat down beside them and spoke calmly.
"Shih-nan, its true that Yu Szu-hai still carries some of the habits of someone who grew up among underworld brothers."
"But after observing him over this period of time, I honestly think hes a decent man."
Tsai Shih-nan glanced at Ya-hui and could not help frowning.
"I just dont feel comfortable letting him get close to Shih-fen."
Deep down, he could never stop worrying about his younger sister.
He always felt that, as her older brother, it was his responsibility to shield her from every possible harm.
Chang Ya-hui smiled gently and said softly,
"A prodigal who turns back is worth more than gold."
"This time, he sent people to protect the guesthouse, and he helped catch the arsonists."
"Why not look at him from another perspective and give him a chance to prove himself again?"
Tsai Shih-nan stared at her for a moment.
"Even youre speaking up for Yu Szu-hai now?"
Chang Ya-hui smiled and shook her head.
"Im not speaking for him."
"Im simply telling you what Ive seen."
"He likes Shih-fen."
"And Shih-fen doesnt seem to dislike him, either."
"In that case, let them spend some time together and see what happens."
"Dont make every decision for your sister."
Standing nearby, Tsai Shih-fen could not help revealing a shy smile when she heard those words.
Tsai Shih-nan glanced at his sister and fell silent once again.
After quite a while, he finally let out a deep breath.
"All right."
Turning toward his sister, he said,
"Shih-fen, call him."
"Tell him Im inviting him to lunch to thank him for what he did last night."
"I want to talk things over with him face to face."
Chang Ya-hui immediately reminded him,
"You should make that phone call yourself."
"That would be much more sincere."
Tsai Shih-nan paused for a moment before giving a wry smile.
"All right, all right."
"Ill call him myself."
With that, he stood up and walked toward the reception counter.
"Little Sis, give me Szu-hais phone number."
The corners of Tsai Shih-fens lips lifted slightly.
She took a business card out of the drawer and handed it to her brother.
"I had it ready a long time ago."
Taking the card, Tsai Shih-nan glanced at his sister and smiled helplessly.
Then he picked up the telephone and dialed the number.
At the same time, in the office of the Donggang Fishermens Association, Yu Szu-hai was discussing work with Li Ming-te.
Several fisheries reports lay spread across the desk.
Suddenly, the telephone rang.
Yu Szu-hai picked up the receiver.
Seeing the caller ID, he froze slightly.
He gestured toward Li Ming-te.
"Hold on a second."
Li Ming-te stopped talking and looked at him curiously.
Yu Szu-hai answered the phone.
"Hello? Whos calling, please?"
Tsai Shih-nans voice came from the other end.
"Is this Yu Szu-hai? This is Tsai Shih-nan."
Yu Szu-hai immediately straightened up in his chair.
"Brother Tsai, this is Szu-hai."
Hearing the name, Li Ming-tes eyes widened.
"Boss... Tsai Shih-nan?"
Yu Szu-hai quickly covered the mouthpiece with one hand while raising his index finger to his lips with the other.
"Shh!"
Then he turned back to the call.
"Brother Tsai, you dont have to be so polite."
"All right."
"Since youve invited us, Ming-te and I will come together."
"Yes."
"Noon."
"All right."
"Well see you then."
After hanging up, a smile slowly spread across Yu Szu-hais face.
Unable to contain his curiosity, Li Ming-te leaned closer.
"Boss, did Tsai Shih-nan invite you to meet him?"
Yu Szu-hai nodded.
"Yeah."
"Hes inviting me to lunch."
"He said he wants to talk to me."
Li Ming-te frowned.
"Do you think hes just going to lecture you again and make things difficult for you?"
Yu Szu-hai shook his head, recalling the tone of Tsai Shih-nans voice during the call.
"No."
"From the way he sounded, I think this time is different."
He stood up and straightened his clothes.
"Come on."
"Lets go home and change."
"Were going to the Tsai familys guesthouse for lunch."
Li Ming-te deliberately looked him up and down.
"Should we wear suits, Boss?"
Yu Szu-hai shot him a look before breaking into a smile.
"Of course!"
"This is the first time Brother Tsai has formally invited me to a meal."
"How could I show up looking disrespectful?"
Li Ming-te burst into laughter.
"Thats true."
"This time youre meeting your future brother-in-law."
He deliberately patted Yu Szu-hai on the shoulder.
"The boss of the boss deserves proper respect."
Yu Szu-hai smiled and nodded.
Yet deep inside, a quiet sense of anticipation began to grow.
He knew that this lunch might not simply be an expression of gratitude.
It might also mark the beginning of rebuilding trust between himself and Tsai Shih-nan.
38. Resolving Old Grudges and Working Together Toward the Future
Inside the restaurant of the Tsai familys Japanese-style guesthouse, soft lighting illuminated the wooden tables and chairs. The Japanese hanging scrolls on the walls complemented the garden scenery outside, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
A long table was filled with carefully prepared Japanese cuisine: sashimi, sushi, tempura, seafood hot pot, and various delicate side dishes. Each dish was a feast of color, aroma, and flavor, resembling a banquet served at a high-end restaurant.
Todays meal had been specially arranged by Tsai Shih-nan.
He wanted to express his gratitude to Yu Szu-hai, and he also hoped to use this opportunity to clear up all their past misunderstandings once and for all.
For this gathering, Yu Szu-hai and Li Ming-te had specially changed into suits and leather shoes.
The two sat beside the dining table, their expressions slightly more restrained than usual.
Yu Szu-hai lowered his head and looked at the suit he was wearing.
Unable to resist, he smiled and said to Li Ming-te,
"Ming-te, look at me dressed like this. Isnt it a little uncomfortable?"
Li Ming-te laughed softly.
"Boss, youre not here to discuss business today."
"Youre here to meet your future brother-in-law."
"Of course you have to dress properly."
Yu Szu-hai glared at him, but could not help smiling.
On the other side, Chang Ya-hui and Tsai Shih-fen were busy in the kitchen.
The two brought out the final dishes and placed them on the dining table.
Tsai Shih-nan stood up, picked up the wine bottle, and poured a cup of sake for Yu Szu-hai and Li Ming-te.
He raised his glass, his expression serious.
"Szu-hai, Ming-te, I want to toast this drink to you."
"Thank you for stepping in last night and helping me resolve a crisis."
Yu Szu-hai quickly raised his glass and waved his hand with a smile.
"Brother Tsai, youre being too polite."
"That was simply something I should have done."
The three men clinked their glasses.
The clear sound of the cups echoed through the restaurant.
Chiu Hsiu-tuan watched the harmonious atmosphere and smiled with relief.
She turned toward the kitchen and called out,
"Ya-hui, Shih-fen, the dishes are all ready. Hurry up and come eat together."
From the kitchen came Tsai Shih-fens reply.
"All right! You start eating first. Well be there soon."
Tsai Shih-nan put down his glass and looked at Yu Szu-hai.
After remaining silent for a moment, he finally spoke.
"Szu-hai, I misunderstood you before."
"I hope you wont take it to heart."
For someone like Tsai Shih-nan, who was always serious and rarely expressed his feelings, saying these words was not easy.
Yu Szu-hai was stunned for a moment.
Then he revealed a shy smile.
"Brother Tsai, Ive kept all the things you told me before in my heart."
He lowered his gaze toward his wine cup, his voice sincere.
"Actually, you were right."
"I did take some wrong paths in the past."
"But Ive already changed and started a new life."
Tsai Shih-nan nodded.
His expression had softened considerably.
"Szu-hai, what are you doing at the fishermens association now?"
"The general affairs section. I handle some miscellaneous work."
Yu Szu-hai smiled.
"But recently, my father plans to buy me a new tuna fishing boat and let me take over his business."
"After a while, I may officially go out to sea as a captain."
Hearing this, Tsai Shih-nans eyes lit up.
"Become a fishing boat captain?"
"Thats pretty good!"
He looked thoughtfully at the garden outside the window.
"Actually, recently Ive also been thinking about what kind of business I can develop after returning here, besides running the guesthouse."
Yu Szu-hai looked slightly puzzled.
"Brother Tsai, didnt you just open this guesthouse?"
Tsai Shih-nan shook his head.
"The guesthouse will be managed by my mother and Shih-fen."
"I want to develop other directions as well."
Yu Szu-hai asked curiously,
"Then what ideas do you have, Brother Tsai?"
"A business related to tourism."
Tsai Shih-nan smiled.
"Tourism on Xiaoliuqiu is becoming more and more prosperous."
"Besides accommodation, we should also be able to offer visitors more experiences."
Just then, Chang Ya-hui and Tsai Shih-fen walked over carrying the final four dishes.
After placing the food on the table, the two sat down beside Chiu Hsiu-tuan.
Looking at the table full of dishes, Yu Szu-hai could not help praising them.
"The whole table is filled with seafood flavors."
"Your cooking skills are absolutely no less impressive than those of a major hotel."
Tsai Shih-fen smiled and introduced them.
"All these Japanese dishes were made by Sister Ya-hui."
Yu Szu-hai looked toward Chang Ya-hui with admiration.
"Sister Ya-huis cooking skills are even more professional than those of chefs at big hotels."
Chang Ya-hui smiled.
"My mother is Japanese."
"I learned cooking from her when I was young."
Yu Szu-hai nodded in realization.
"So its a family tradition."
"No wonder youre so skilled."
Tsai Shih-nan picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks.
Suddenly, he thought of something.
"Szu-hai, I have an idea."
"What idea?"
"I want to buy a sightseeing fishing boat."
"I want to take tourists out to sea and combine it with the guesthouse business."
Yu Szu-hais eyes brightened.
"A sightseeing fishing boat?"
"Thats a great idea!"
He slapped the table lightly.
"It can perfectly combine with your guesthouse and create package tours."
"Guests can stay at the guesthouse, eat seafood, take a boat out for deep-sea fishing, and go whale watching."
Tsai Shih-nan showed an excited smile.
"Then its decided."
"Ill develop a sightseeing fishing boat business."
Yu Szu-hai thought for a moment and added,
"Brother Tsai, I know some people at a shipyard."
"I can go with you to discuss what kind of boat and equipment you need."
He paused and reminded him,
"But if you want a better-equipped sightseeing fishing boat, the price may reach tens of millions."
Hearing this, Chiu Hsiu-tuan stopped her chopsticks and frowned.
"Boy, if one boat costs that much money, where will you get that much funding?"
Tsai Shih-nan smiled.
"Mom, dont worry."
"I have the funds."
Chang Ya-hui also nodded beside him.
"Auntie, Shih-nan and I have already made preparations."
"You dont need to worry too much."
Hearing Ya-hui say this, Chiu Hsiu-tuan finally relaxed a little.
However, Tsai Shih-nan thought of another issue.
"Szu-hai, Ive never operated a boat before."
"I heard I also need to get a license."
Yu Szu-hai laughed.
"Dont worry about that."
He looked toward Li Ming-te.
"Ming-te and I can take turns teaching you."
"With one month of intensive training, getting the license should not be a problem."
Looking at the two men, Tsai Shih-nan felt a deeper sense of gratitude.
In the past, he had always viewed Yu Szu-hai as a bad person who would hurt his sister and bring tragedy into her life.
But at this moment, for the first time, he realized that this young man before him might not be as bad as he had imagined.
He raised his wine cup again.
"Szu-hai, Ming-te, then let me thank you in advance."
He smiled and invited everyone.
"Come on, everyone, eat!"
"Dont be shy. Make yourselves at home."
The atmosphere at the dining table finally changed from the initial awkwardness into the warmth of a family gathering.
And on this night, the invisible wall that had once seemed impossible to cross between Tsai Shih-nan and Yu Szu-hai quietly began to disappear.
39. Setting Sail and Building a Dream on the Sea
The afternoon sunlight poured over the vast shipyard.
The enormous steel structures, half-completed hulls, and busy workers moving back and forth created a powerful scene of marine industry.
The air was filled with the scent of metal welding, while the sound of welding sparks exploding could occasionally be heard from the distance.
Several large fishing boats and sightseeing vessels were docked inside the shipyard, and the workers were busy carrying out final assembly and inspections.
Yu Szu-hai and Li Ming-te accompanied Tsai Shih-nan into the shipyard.
Under the guidance of Manager Hsu from the shipyard, they carefully toured the various facilities and construction processes.
As they walked, Manager Hsu pointed toward a vessel currently under construction and spoke with confidence.
"Mr. Tsai, our shipyard is one of the largest shipbuilding facilities in Taiwan with strong manufacturing capabilities."
"No matter what requirements our clients have, as long as they provide the design plans, we have the ability to build the vessel according to their specifications."
Tsai Shih-nan looked up at the enormous hull, his eyes filled with anticipation.
He had grown up by the sea and always carried a special affection for the ocean.
Now, from operating a guesthouse to planning a sightseeing fishing boat, it felt as though another chapter of his life journey was beginning.
Yu Szu-hai patted Tsai Shih-nan on the shoulder and turned to Manager Hsu.
"Brother Hsu, Mr. Tsai is my big brother."
His tone was serious, carrying a sense of responsibility and trust.
"Your workmanship and materials have to be solid."
"Dont make me lose face, okay?"
Manager Hsu laughed and nodded.
"Szu-hai, dont worry."
"Our shipyard relies on trust and reputation."
"Every vessel is built with care."
"Quality and after-sales service are the things we value most."
He paused before adding,
"Delivering the ship is not the end."
"It is the beginning of our service."
Yu Szu-hai smiled with satisfaction.
"I chose your shipyard because of your after-sales service."
"Thats why I previously introduced several ferry operators in Donggang to cooperate with you."
Manager Hsu smiled and nodded.
"Thank you for your support, Szu-hai."
He raised his hand toward the front.
"All three of you, lets go to the reception room first."
"We can slowly discuss the vessel type, equipment, and interior design."
The four of them entered the shipyards reception room.
The interior space was bright and spacious.
The walls were covered with photographs of various sightseeing boats and recreational fishing vessels.
There were luxurious yachts, as well as boat designs suitable for marine sightseeing and leisure fishing.
Each image displayed a different style.
Tsai Shih-nan walked closer to the wall and carefully examined the design drawings, his eyes focused.
Yu Szu-hai stood beside him and introduced them.
"Brother Tsai, this type of boat is more suitable for tourism purposes."
"The space is spacious."
"It can carry passengers and also arrange various activities at sea."
Manager Hsu stepped forward and added,
"These are all our latest designs."
"Currently, our main customers come from Europe, America, and the Middle East."
"We also serve Asian markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore."
Hearing this, Yu Szu-hai looked somewhat surprised.
"Your export business has grown this large?"
Manager Hsu smiled.
"The domestic market is small, and demand is limited."
"To maintain the long-term development of a shipyard, expanding into overseas markets is naturally necessary."
As he spoke, a female assistant walked in carrying ship catalogs and coffee.
She gently placed them on the long table.
"Manager, the materials are ready."
"Thank you."
Manager Hsu invited the three men.
"Szu-hai, Mr. Tsai, please take a seat."
The four of them sat on opposite sides of the long table.
Manager Hsu pushed two thick ship catalogs in front of Tsai Shih-nan.
"Mr. Tsai, may I ask approximately what your budget for purchasing a vessel is?"
"I can recommend several models according to your needs."
Tsai Shih-nan opened the catalog and looked through the various ship designs.
His voice remained calm.
"Budget is not the main issue."
He raised his head and looked at Manager Hsu.
"What I care about more is passenger comfort, safety, and whether future maintenance will be convenient."
Manager Hsu nodded.
"Understood."
"For sightseeing vessels, the most important thing is not just appearance."
"The passenger experience matters even more."
He opened the catalog and pointed to several designs.
"These models are more suitable for your requirements."
"The cabin space is larger."
"You can design a rest area and also add more viewing seats."
Yu Szu-hai leaned closer and examined the designs carefully.
"Brother Tsai, I think this one is pretty good."
"In the future, when tourists go out on the boat, they will be able to sit more comfortably."
Li Ming-te added from the side,
"If we want to develop marine tourism in the future, the equipment cannot be too basic."
"If the guests have a poor first experience, they wont come back again."
Listening to their suggestions, Tsai Shih-nan nodded from time to time.
He picked up a pen and marked several key points on the catalog.
"Yes."
"These suggestions are very important."
Looking at the design drawings before him, a future vision gradually formed in his mind—
During the day, tourists would stay at the Japanese-style guesthouse.
In the afternoon, they would take a sightseeing boat to explore the waters around Xiaoliuqiu.
At night, they would enjoy island cuisine and the peaceful beauty of the night.
One guesthouse and one sightseeing boat would no longer be merely a business.
They would become a dream of making his hometown shine once again.
Inside the reception room, the four men continued enthusiastically discussing vessel designs, equipment, and future business plans.
And Tsai Shih-nans life, like the new ship that was about to be launched into the water, was also preparing to embark on a brand-new voyage.
40. The Island Dream and the Tourism Blueprint
Inside the living room of the Tsai family’s Japanese-style guesthouse, the afternoon sunlight poured through the large windows, reflecting on the warm wooden floor.
The Japanese-style hanging paintings on the walls, the potted plants by the windows, and the sound of birds singing from the courtyard filled the entire living room with a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.
At the center of the square table lay a vividly colored large design blueprint for the sightseeing fishing boat.
Tsai Shih-nan’s family and Zhang Ya-hui sat around the table, their eyes all focused on the design drawings of the vessel that would become the core of their future business.
Tsai Shih-nan pointed at the cabin layout on the blueprint, his face filled with excitement.
"This is the model we ordered from the shipyard today."
He picked up the design drawings on the table and carefully explained.
"The small restaurant and kitchen inside the cabin will adopt a Japanese-style interior design."
"In the future, when tourists take the boat out to sea, they wont just enjoy the ocean scenery. They will also be able to experience dining just like they are at the guesthouse."
Zhang Ya-hui leaned closer to the table and carefully examined the details on the design drawings, her eyes showing admiration.
"This shipyard is really good!"
"They can even create Japanese-style interiors inside the cabin. It matches the style of our guesthouse perfectly."
Tsai Shih-nan nodded.
"They also take orders from Japan, so they are very familiar with Japanese design."
Sitting nearby, Chiu Hsiu-tuan looked at the luxurious fishing boat design on the blueprint, her brows slightly furrowed.
Although she felt proud of her sons ambition and entrepreneurial spirit, thinking about such a large investment still made her somewhat uneasy.
"Shih-nan..."
She reached out and gently touched the design drawings on the table.
"How much will this boat cost?"
Tsai Shih-nan knew what his mother was worried about and smiled reassuringly.
"Mom, dont worry about the money."
Chiu Hsiu-tuan looked at her son, her voice filled with concern.
"Im not against you starting a business."
"Im just afraid you will carry too much debt."
"Once the boat is purchased, the monthly interest pressure will not be a small amount."
Tsai Shih-nan shook his head, his tone firm.
"I didnt borrow money from the bank."
Chiu Hsiu-tuan was stunned.
"Really?"
"Really."
Tsai Shih-nan smiled.
"I have my own plans."
Zhang Ya-hui looked at the mother and son, then brought the conversation back to business development.
"Actually, with this sightseeing boat, we can start planning package tours that combine the guesthouse and marine tourism."
She pointed at the design drawings on the table and analyzed their future direction.
"During the day, tourists can take the boat to enjoy the ocean scenery and experience marine activities."
"In the evening, they can return to the guesthouse to rest, while also enjoying our Japanese cuisine and garden environment."
"In this way, what we provide is not just accommodation, but a complete travel experience."
"This will make us more competitive in the market."
Listening to Ya-huis analysis, Tsai Shih-nan showed a relieved smile.
He knew that from the initial renovation of the guesthouse to the current planning of the sightseeing fishing boat, Ya-hui had always stood beside him and provided him with many important suggestions.
At this moment, Tsai Shih-fen looked at the two of them and suddenly revealed a teasing smile.
"Ya-hui Jie, look at how much you have helped our family."
"Why dont you just quit your teaching job, hurry up and marry into our family, and become our familys lady boss?"
As soon as these words were spoken, the living room suddenly became silent for a moment.
Tsai Shih-nan was stunned.
He secretly glanced at Ya-hui.
A faint smile appeared on Zhang Ya-huis face.
She was not flustered. She simply lowered her head and organized the documents on the table.
"Me..."
She raised her head, her voice gentle and calm.
"Whether I get married in the future or not, I still prefer the simple life of teaching."
After saying that, she gave a faint smile.
However, behind that smile seemed to hide a feeling she had never spoken aloud.
She admired Tsai Shih-nans efforts and was willing to accompany him in pursuing his dreams.
But when it came to love, she still hoped that everything would happen naturally.
Tsai Shih-nan looked at her, and a complicated feeling rose in his heart.
He knew that Ya-hui had always silently supported him.
Yet between the two of them, that thin layer of paper separating their feelings had never truly been pierced.
Outside the window, the sea breeze swept through the courtyard.
The new guesthouse, the new sightseeing boat, and the road ahead in life were gradually unfolding step by step.
And the feelings between them were also quietly beginning to blossom on this island land.
