After an absence as long as 16 months, I return to my housing in Bay Area three weeks ago.  You know, I often enjoy bathing in mild morning sunshine between nine to ten am at the arbor in backyard just outside the family room.  Yesterday morning when I did the same, suddenly a bird sprinted away above my head, and after a couple of minutes it got back.  But I did not pay much attention to it and continued bathing myself in the sunlights with sitting on my feet at a stool until I stood up and found something startling me.

There is a bird nest sitting on the top of the lamp which is just at right side in front of the screen door.  The nest is a "simple" one made of only a bunch of twigs, on which nestled a funny-looking, straight-faced bird and her baby.  Welcome, little birds.  You are not not gatecrashers to me; you are my new neighbors!

PS Back at my apartment in Taipei, there are a couple of empty bee- hives hanging on the ceiling of the back balcony.  Once there were swarms of bees in there, but I had never disturb their lives.  BTW, I do not know how to post the picture of the birds here for you, sorry for that.
