台灣女孩的水準就這樣?!
What happened to these 2 Taiwanese girls?
In the morning 1.30AM I was awakened by the sounds of knocking
on my door.I was very angry in my bed and wish the pounding
would go away after few minutes.
The pounding continued and I had to answer the door.
When I unlocked the door, standing there were two girls with a
print-out motel list of Yosemite in her hand and asked
"Do you have vacancy?"
"Vacancy? Don't you read sign? Our office is closed after10 pm."
"I am sorry. We need a room."
I was really mad as hell and was trying to hold my self not busted.
Out of consideration of two young girls speaking
Taiwanese with each other.
"OK, I will give you a room. Here is the registration card & fill it up.
Pay me $79.95 including tax. Go to your room yourselves."
I need sleep. I guess my eyes were half closed and half opened.
I handed them the key told them to proceed to the room.
After few minutes, they knocked on the door again.
"WHAT?" I shouted with voice very laud and sound impolite.
"Well, our reservation is not in this motel. We want to move on.
We wanted our money back."
"What, you wanted refund? At this hour? In the middle of night?
If you found that you did not like the room, leave the key
and hit the road. Get out of here."
I was really furious and mad as hell. 1st both of them disturbed
my sleep and did not know the rules in America that if the office says
"CLOSED". No one has right to disturb the office.
You may get your self killed if you were a suspect
intruder of trying to break the door.
"Howlay, howlay, let us settle down in this motel."
One girls was talking to another.
I locked the door and went to bed.
I could not sleep for hours and just wonder myself:
What happened to Taiwan's education and what happened
to these two rude Taiwanese Girls?
2 Girls checked out this morning. I casually asked:
" How long have you been living in the States?"
" No, no no. We are tourists." both of them noticed that I was still nursing with grudge left over last night.

Since I am in Taiwan for the last a couple of years
My point of view is Taiwan has been split into two different way, which is similar to what it lools like in politics.
One type of people are very curtesy and/or well educated with good manner
the other type of people are rude and wild whether they have good education or not

It has to do with the family education. These girls have not learned to observe the rules. In fact, as you know, not many people in Taiwan pay attention to the rules, that is why there is always chaos.
When I travel, I always make a room reservation in advance and try to arrive before the hotel office is closed. If I knew that I would be late, I would call the hotel and inform the reception that I would arrive late to make sure the room is still available. Some hotels would cancel your reservation after certain hour when you don't let them know that you are definitely coming.
Many Taiwanese forget to be polite when they are abroad. Sigh...Thank you for your response.

When a considerate guest like you, we do not have problem.
We usually tell guest to get key from key box and proceed
to their room. Payment will be made in the morning. We
don't want to be disturbed after 10pm.

Everybody is self-centered, no consideration and do not know what's wrong at all!

The previous night a couple had reservation but late in the night
both of them choose to sleep in the car until I woke up in the morning
then checked in.It took all kind of people to make the world. Thank you again.
