投影電視 Cable ready & High Definition

幾年前，老朽的 東芝牌 46 吋 投影電視 Projector TV 壞了。老朽到店裡買新的。當時 液晶 LCD 與 電漿 Plasma 電視 剛剛面世不久，DVD 也才出來。但 Projector TV 便宜 60%，雖解析度不及 LCD 與 Plasma ，但電視台尚沒有 High Definition 訊號。解析度再高，也只能看 DVD。
Projector TV 雖然體積大，但並非大而無當。第一，電視上方可放置多層音响。第二，體積大，大肚能容，是極佳的保險箱。老朽買了一款 Hitachi 50 吋，有一性能 (Feature) 叫 Cable Ready。意思是能播放 高解析度 的 閉路/有綫電視。能看 DVD。
半年前，大多數的無綫電視台，都推出了 數碼訊號 Digital Signal。當然是 高解析度。美國政府 FCC 決定 2009 二月，所有無綫電視台 都將停止播放 低解析度的 Analog Signal。為了防止民眾的舊電視，不能收新的 高解析度 數碼訊號 Digital Signal，政府特地補助民眾，二張 $40 USD Coupon 購買 訊號轉換器。 http://blog.udn.com/mbr8879576/1766601
老朽申請了 二張 $40 Coupons。發现 該 Coupon 不支付 High Definition (1080p) 訊號轉換器。
為了能看 High Definition (1080p)，老朽上網找了兩款:
Samsung High Definition Terresterial Tuner DTB-H260F $169.99 + shipping cost
Winegard RC-1010 Digital HD Receiver $154.99 + Shipping cost
終於找到一家 http://www.overstockdealz.com 專賣跳樓貨，Samsung DTB-H260F 只要 $99.99 + shipping
老朽今日收到貨。果然，電視清析多了。
二張 $40 Coupons 準備送人。
不知一般的眾生，花樣有老朽這般多嗎 ?
ps. Projector TV 體積大，大肚能容，是極佳的保險箱。老朽夕日有一同事，自芝加哥來此出差，家裡被小偷搬光了，唯有 Projector TV 大而無當，碰都沒碰 ！ 妳可知它 那裡 / 怎麼 藏東西 ？ 比銀行 Safety Deposit Box 方便多了 ！

4樓. High Flyer2008/06/28 01:37Projectron is too big for taiwan household
I've seen this in many US families, the problem is that most of us here don't have such big living room to accomodate a big uy like that. Furthermore, the LCD TV is dropping cost everyday now ! Delta Electronics does promote such giagantic gear besides their core products (Power supplies), but not much success in local market.

一張只限用一台 Converter, but you can connect to many TV sets (By spliting the signals ? Please check out Radio Shack).
But if they are in different rooms or far away from each other, may be difficult,.....
